Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda Shine 125 Disc Brake Model is a solid choice in the 125cc commuter motorcycle segment, but it comes with its set of pros and cons. On the positive side, this bike boasts excellent pickup, smooth engine performance, and impressive fuel efficiency, with many users reporting a mileage of around 55-60 kmpl. The design is stylish and universally appealing, and the bike is comfortable for daily commutes, especially within city limits. However, there are some drawbacks, such as the vibration issues at higher speeds, which can make long rides uncomfortable. Additionally, the rear tyres are somewhat small, which can affect braking stability. Despite these issues, the bikes overall performance, low maintenance requirements, and good braking system make it a reliable option for those seeking a commuter bike.

Latest Updates
Thursday, 29 August 2024 10:46 PM The Honda Shine 125, particularly the Disc Brake model, has been updated with a silent start system, enhancing the riding experience with reduced noise during startup. This feature, along with the side stand engine cut-off and alloy wheels, makes the bike more convenient and stylish. I believe these updates make the Honda Shine 125 a compelling choice for commuters.
Tuesday, 20 June 2023 06:58 AM Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the OBD2 compliant Honda Shine 125, with the Disc variant priced at Rs. 83,800. Thursday, 07 February 2019 10:25 PM The Honda Shine 125 Disc Brake model comes equipped with a Combined Braking System (CBS), which is a mandatory safety feature for all two-wheelers with engines 125cc or smaller. This indicates the bikes popularity and reliability among Indian commuters. I believe its enduring success is a testament to Hondas engineering and customer trust.
Friday, 03 February 2017 06:33 PM Honda has introduced the 2017 BS IV compliant model of the CB Shine, which includes the auto headlamp on (AHO) feature and new HET tires. Although this update is from an older model, it set the stage for the current Shine 125s compliance with emission norms. I think this move was a step in the right direction for environmental and safety standards.

it's a great bike if you are looking for daily commuting. bike will give you great mileage 50-55 easily without any issue.if you are someone who is looking for fun to ride bike then don't go for it if you rev it hard you are gonna lose mileage more than 60 kmph the engine get heated so much and you can feel the vibrations also on the foot peg their should be more refinement in the engine and all 1-2-3 gears are short but 4 gear is long you are gonna definitely miss the 5th gear as well their should be a proper gearing ratio unpleasing experience after 60 kmph for brand like honda it's not worthy.seat comfortable is great...i have hero honda passion plus also it si 14 yrs old bike but after 55 kmph i feel like the engine way more better than honda shine...the bikes are today getting more styles but in build quality and durability of bikes are getting low day by day they are selling their products on the name of brand only.

Amazing mileage and stylish design

The Honda Shine is a great bike with amazing mileage and stylish design. The small back tires are a bit of a downside, as they can cause sudden braking and skids, but the 65 km/l mileage more than makes up for it. The suspension is a bit stiff, which can cause back pain, but overall it is a great bike that looks great and provides an amazing sound.

The mileage is excellent; on the highway

I have been driving the Honda Shine for the past seven years and I have clocked over 80,000 kilometers. The mileage is excellent; on the highway, I can get up to 72 kmpl when I maintain a speed of 70 kmph. The power is strong enough to drive up to 300 kilometers in one stretch. I have taken many long journeys on this bike and it has never let me down. The engine is smooth, and the overall performance is impressive. The bike is very reliable, and I have never had any issues with it. I highly recommend this bike for anyone who is looking for a reliable and powerful bike.

Excellent value for money

The Honda Shine is an excellent value for money. Its design is simple yet comfortable, and for a bike in this price range, it doesn't get any better. The four manual gears make it easy to switch between speeds, and it delivers a mileage of nearly 40 kmpl - which is quite impressive. The only downside is that it is quite slow, and only reaches speeds of up to 50 kmph. After that, the bike starts to struggle and the ride becomes quite uncomfortable.
