About
The Honda CX-01 Concept is a naked bike that boasts a 249.6cc, 4-stroke engine, producing expected power values of 25 HP and 23 Nm of torque. This liquid-cooled engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a wet, multiplate disc clutch. The bike is equipped with disc brakes at both the front and rear wheels and comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The instrument console includes a digital speedometer, analogue tachometer, and digital trip meters, along with a digital fuel gauge. Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda CX-01 Concept is an intriguing and stylish naked bike that has garnered significant attention, even though it remains in the concept phase. From my perspective, the bikes design is one of its strongest points, with a sporty and trendy look that would certainly appeal to the young generation in India. The expected power output of 25 HP and 23 Nm of torque from its 249.6cc engine, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and liquid cooling, suggests a bike that could offer a balanced blend of performance and efficiency. However, the fact that it is still a concept and has not been confirmed for production is a significant drawback. If Honda decides to bring this bike to the market, it would likely compete well against rivals like the KTM 200 Duke and Benelli TNT 250, but until then, it remains a promising idea rather than a tangible option.
Price
The Honda CX-01 Concept is expected to be priced around Rs 1.30 lakh in India, ex-showroom. This pricing places it in a competitive segment where it would need to offer compelling features and performance to stand out. On-road prices would likely be higher, considering additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could push the price to around Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 1.60 lakh, depending on the state and city. Given its specifications and the target market, this pricing seems reasonable, but the final on-road cost would depend on various factors, including state-specific taxes and dealership charges.

Despite its promising design and specifications, the Honda CX-01 Concept has not yet been confirmed for production. The concept has been seen as an inspiration for other Honda models, such as the Indian Honda CB Hornet 160R. I believe that if produced, it would be a great addition to Hondas lineup in India.

The CX-01 Concept is built using existing Honda components, such as the engine and frame from the CBR250R and the swingarm from the Integra 750. This approach helps in reducing development costs and suggests that the bike could potentially become a production model in the future. I believe this strategy is smart, as it leverages proven parts to create a new model.

Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 09:14 AM
The official mileage figures for the Honda CX-01 Concept have not been revealed, which makes it challenging to provide a definitive answer. However, considering its 249.6cc engine and the emphasis on fuel efficiency in Indian market bikes, one could expect a mileage in the range of 30-40 kml, assuming typical riding conditions. This estimate is based on similar bikes in the segment and the use of fuel injection and liquid cooling, which generally help in optimizing fuel efficiency.
