Expert Verdict
Professional reviews and expert opinions on Honda Aviator (Old Model)
After the huge success of New Honda Activa now Honda India has launched New Aviator 110 to compete with the likes of recently launched Mahindra Rodeo & Mahindra Duro. When Honda launched the New Activa with a 109cc engine, it was obvious that they would soon launch the Aviator with same 109cc engine. The 109cc engine is super refined, has absolutely no transmission judder and is also a tad more fuel efficient.

Aviator is Honda India’s most popular automatic scooter among the males. The introduction of New Aviator 110 is a step ahead in the company’s commitment to expand the scooter market in India. With various new features, it is expected that New Aviator 110 will boost the popularity and performance of the model in India. It is mainly targeted at married males in the age-group of 30-40 years. Being a premium product, it is meant to attract buyers who are style-conscious and seek quality & comfort. It will make an impact on the two-wheeler market increasing the appeal for the premium automatic scooters.
What's New In Honda Aviator 110
- All New 109cc Engine which develops 8 Bhp of Maximum Power
- Viscous air filter: It is more efficient in catching the dust particles which prolongs the filter life. Thus, it lessens the maintenance expense as it requires less frequent replacement and no cleaning.
- Maintenance-Free battery: The newly adopted battery makes use of Honda global technology. It is non-leaking and battery life is more than conventional battery.
- CBS: It is a safety system on motorcycles that balances the engagement of both front and rear brakes.
- 2 New Shades: Neo Orange Metallic & Pearl Heron Blue
Design & Styling Of New Honda Aviator 110
The Aviator 110 scores in looks and styling, which is definitely superior to other Honda Scooters available in India. The plastic used is of high-quality and the metal panels are used in a better way. Aviator 110 features a smiley shaped headlamp with large clear lens turn indicators separated by the V shaped strips. The razor sharp styling is further enhanced by Chunky grab rail and stylish wraparound turn indicators dominates the tail section.
An unusual and futuristic design philosophy, which Honda has adapted from the latest version of the Fireblade, adds a touch of muscle to the scooter and targets the adult male buyers. This comes as the most important change in the Aviator as compared to the Activa, which is targeted more towards the female population and the Dio which is more of a youth friendly vehicle.
Instrument Cluster Of New Honda Aviator 110
Honda Aviator 110 features triangular instrument panel which comprises a large speedometer and a fuel gauge. In bright sunlight its hard to see the warning indicators. Though the design of the Aviator is a generation ahead but it lacks some features which many of its rivals have like you have to get down whenever you visit the petrol filling station or shopping centre. There is no quadra or penta lock facility in Aviator. Surpisingly, the mobile charging point which has become more common or a glove box are left out in Aviator’s feature list. The only plus point is huge usable underseat space which gives you some more space even after swallowing a full helmet.
Engine & Variants Of New Honda Aviator 110
The engine of New Aviator 110 generates maximum power of 8 Bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 9 Nm at 5500 rpm. According to company sources the New Aviator 110 will give 15% more mileage thus making it even more economical than the previous model. This increased efficiency has been made possible because of various cutting-edge technologies.
New Aviator is available in two models
- New Aviator 110
- New Aviator 110 Deluxe
The deluxe model of New Aviator features an elegant front-cover finished in chrome, body-color grab rail, instrument panel garnish and inner cover painted in order to add to the style and premium appeal of the scooter. Along with these, the deluxe model also has alloy wheels with combined braking system.
Suspension System Of New Honda Aviator 110
Another thing that sets the Aviator 110 apart from Activa & Dio and its rivals is its suspension. Though the chassis of the Aviator 110 is almost similar to the one offered on the Activa, it has now been equipped with inverted forks in the front. The twin telescopic front suspension offers better handling characteristics and going around corners is now a breeze. The Aviator 110 shows great composure while taking high speed bends on roads. The new front suspension has also enhanced the ride quality significantly.
Aviator 110 sports a peculiar wheel configuration with different wheel sizes at front and rear. While Honda has retained the rear wheel size to 10-inch, they have equipped the Aviator with a 12-inch front wheel. The change in the front wheel size has come in order to accommodate the disc brake as a 10-inch wheel would have been too small to house a capable rotor.
Braking System Of New Honda Aviator 110
Along with new engine the deluxe model of Aviator 110 features the combined braking system (CBS), which should have been much harder to calibrate, thanks to the Aviator sporting a disc brake at the front. The Aviator 110 will also get the tamper proof lock from the Activa. Honda CBS is a safety system on motorcycles that balances the engagement of both front and rear brakes. CBS applies front braking force whenever the rear brake is operated.
Shades Available in New Honda Aviator 110
Honda Aviator 110 is available in five attractive shades:
- Neo Orange Metallic - New Shade
- Pearl Heron Blue - New Shade
- Rebel Red Metallic
- Pearl Black
- Monsoon Gray Metallic
