About
The Hero Ignitor 125 Self Drum Alloy is a 125cc commuter bike that was launched in 2012, shortly after Hero MotoCorps separation from Honda. The engine is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike features a mix of digital and analogue instruments, a sporty stepped seat, and a large fuel tank with a capacity of 9 liters. It comes with telescopic forks at the front and adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a comfortable ride. Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Ignitor 125 Self Drum Alloy is a solid choice for those looking for a reliable and stylish commuter bike in the 125cc segment. While it is essentially a re-badged version of the Honda CBF Stunner, the Ignitor stands out with its enhanced styling, including redesigned body panels, new graphics, and a body-colored rear-view mirror. The bike offers a comfortable riding position, thanks to its upright seating and well-placed foot pegs and handlebars. The air-cooled, four-stroke, SOHC engine provides adequate power and torque, making it suitable for navigating through city traffic. However, the lack of an engine-kill switch and the absence of advanced safety features like ABS might be a drawback for some. Overall, its a great option for daily commuting, offering a blend of style, performance, and fuel efficiency.
Price
The Hero Ignitor 125 Self Drum Alloy was priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for the drum variant was around Rs 58,200, while the disc brake variant was priced at Rs 60,200. On-road prices would typically include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could add another Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 to the ex-showroom price. This pricing makes the Ignitor an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a reliable 125cc commuter bike. However, its important to note that the Ignitor has been discontinued, so current prices would be relevant only for used or pre-owned models.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 05:57 PM The Hero Ignitor 125 Self Drum Alloy boasts impressive mileage figures, making it a cost-effective choice for daily commuting. According to ARAI, the bike offers a mileage of 55 kmpl, while real-world usage reports from owners suggest an average mileage of around 50 kmpl in city traffic and up to 60 kmpl on highways. This fuel efficiency, combined with its low maintenance costs, makes the Ignitor an excellent option for those concerned about running costs.

The Hero Ignitor is a stylish, semi-faired motorcycle which still grabs attention. The upright seating position and the wide handle makes it a good commuter bike. The tank is well placed and it offers good wind protection even at high speed. It looks like a 'Stunner' and in terms of performance also both are same to some extent but there are differences between them too. It is quite comfortable for rider but not for pillion rider. The seat is designed in such a way that you can hardly manage three persons. The disc brake at the front offers adequate stopping power and rear drum also performs its duty well. The engine is refined and smooth and offers good power and torque value. If we see the bike's comfort and sporty look, its price seems surprising. My friend thought that it is costly when I told him the real price he really appreciated it.

Best Features: Stylish & Sporty

Pros: Comfortable riding position, sport & youthful design, powerful engine, mileage

Cons: Pillion seat

The Hero Ignitor is a reliable commuter bike. It is an easy and comfortable bike to ride on with a small capacity and efficient engine. It offers an upright seating position and spacious pillion seat. The pillion comes with a grab holder and the seats quality is also excellent. Its engine is smooth and refined. Its pickup is fast and it a good bike for stress free ride. The mileage it returns is also excellent at 55-60 km/l depending on the driving style of rider. Look-wise, it is also impressive and can stand out in the crowd of commuter bikes. Overall, it is perfect from all aspects. If I have to suggest the seekers, I would strongly recommend this commuter bike over other like Honda Stunner or Splendor. Its a reliable yet stylish motorcycle one can own.

WHAT TO SAY ABOUT IT.?? ITS A CRISPY SPORTY BABY, WITH MUSCLES AND HIGH SPIRITS. THE FOLKS WILL FALL IN LOVE FOR ITS LOOKS. THE ONLY THING THAT DISAPPOINTS IS THE CITY MILEAGE. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A BIT MORE ECONOMIC. OVERALL ITS A COOL DUDE!

Best Features: THE FRONT COWL, THE MUSCULAR PETROL TANK, THE SPORTY HEADLIGHTS AND THE METER CONSOLES

Pros: THE BIKE IS AWESOME COMING TO ITS STYLISH LOOKS. ALSO THE METER CONSOLES ARE THE MASTER STROKES

Cons: I WISH YOU WENT A FEW KILOMETERS MORE PER LITRE, IN CITY
