Overview

The flagship commuter model for the two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda CB Shine SP CBS is one of the most refined bikes available in the market. With a 125 cc engine at its heart, the bike has surpassed every daily commuter to get on the most reliable and popular list for the daily commuters. With an excellent fuel economy and a noteworthy mileage, calling Honda CB Shine SP people’s favourite won’t be wrong. The bike competes in the Indian market with the likes of Hero Glamour and Bajaj Discover 125.

 

As per the engine specifications, the Honda CB Shine SP is powered by a 124.73cc, Air Cooled, 4 Stroke, SI Engine, BS4 engine capable of producing a maximum power of 10.16 bhp @ 7500 rpm and an utmost torque of 10.30 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and has a kerb weight of 124 kg. With a ground clearance of 160 mm and a wheelbase of 1266 mm, the bike is super easy to handle on the sharp corners as well as on the highways making it the best commuter considering all.

The suspension duties are handled by Telescopic Forks at the front while the rear wheel gets a Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type suspension. At the front, the Honda CB Shine SP CBS gets a 240 mm disc brake while the rear gets 130 mm drum brakes. It gets an analogue speedometer and digital trip meter, odometer and a fuel gauge in the instrument console. Honda CB Shine SP claims a top speed of 100 kmph and has a mileage of 55 kmpl on the road and 60 kmpl on the highways. The trapezoidal headlamp with a larger windscreen does give it a minimal aggressive stance and the appealing graphics on the fuel tank balances the original style.
