22 Oct, 2024 12:00 AM

Overview

Overview

Bajaj Auto launched the Pulsar NS125 in the Indian two-wheeler market in 2012, and with the introduction of this bike, the brand strengthened its lineup. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 could possibly be one of the most modern 125cc bikes in the Indian market. It is derived from the popular Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and gets a bunch of modern parts. It is aimed at a young audience. It is the smallest bike from Bajaj in their naked sports section. The Pulsar NS125 has undergone numerous updates over the last decade, and its allure remains with Indian bike enthusiasts.

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Design and Style

With the inspiration drawn from the elder sibling Bajaj Pulsar NS200, Bajaj Pulsar NS 125’s decent looking headlamp, muscular tank and cowling, side & rear panels, and twin LED tail lamps are all based on the NS200 model. NS200 is one of the most popular and best-looking bikes in the market at present and by deriving the same style and design as the NS200, NS125 will definitely be the most aesthetically superior bike in the 125cc category. The biggest difference between the NS125 and NS200 is their grey colour frame and cool looking alloy wheels. Wolf-Eye exterior and its body panels complement its design and style containing split grab rails, split seats, and more, giving it a sporty attractive look.

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Engine and Gearbox

2024 Pulsar NS125 houses a BS6-compliant 124.45cc air-cooled 4-stroke 2-valve SOHC single-cylinder DTS-i Ei engine that can produce a maximum power of 12 HP @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 11 Nm @ 7000 rpm. Bajaj NS125 is mated with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Suspension, Brakes and Tyres

New Pulsar NS125 is suspended on the perimeter frame just like its inspiration and sibling NS200 and for the front suspension, it is installed with telescopic forks and the Nitrox mono-shock absorber for the rear suspension. As for the braking duties, the Pulsar NS125 is offered with a 240mm disc for the front and a 130mm drum for the rear with CBS (combined braking system). Pulsar NS125 has got 17-inch alloy wheels which are shod in 80/100 size front and 100/90 size rear tubeless tyres.

Instrument Console of Bajaj Pulsar NS125

2024 Pulsar NS125 is offered with a semi-digital instrument cluster that has Speedometer, Tachometer, Trip meter, Odometer, fuel gauge and AHO (automatic headlamp on).

Key Features of Bajaj Pulsar NS125

Some of the key features include Pulsar NS-series design, CBS, AHO, Semi-digital instrument cluster, BS6 standard emission engine, attractive colour options, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and engine cowl. Comfort features include Electric Start, Pillion Footrest, Step-up seat, Pillion grab rail and many more.

Top Speed and Mileage of Bajaj Pulsar NS125

New Pulsar NS125 can achieve a top speed of 112 kmph approximately and can speed up from 0 to 100 kmph in around 6 seconds. The mileage of the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 tested by the ARAI is around 50-55 kmpl approximately (The real-world numbers might differ depending on terrain and driving style).

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Colour Options

2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is available in 4 different colour schemes and they are Fiery Orange, Burnt Red, Beach Blue and Pewter Grey.

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Competitors

Honda SP125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon, KTM Duke 125 and Hero Glamour 125 are the respectable rivals to the Bajaj Pulsar NS125.

Verdict

The Indian automaker definitely aimed the New Bajaj Pulsar NS125 for the younger Indian enthusiasts. The sporty stylish look inspired by the elder sibling makes it a decent entry-level bike if you’re in the market for a daily commuter. NS125 has many upsides as to its design, performance and some of its features in the 125cc section, but there will definitely be some cons as well. If you’re a college student and wish to own this bike, then it might be pricey for you. And the build quality of the bike is good, so the weight could be a little on the heavier side. Keeping all these things in your mind, if Pulsar NS125 ticks all your needs and wishes for a first bike, then you can surely go for it.

Motorcycles are not cell phones. They need to have durability. When someone invest more than 1.5 lacs he is expecting a motorcycle which will run smooth for at least 5 yrs without basic maintenance. I spent more than 50k to maintain my RS200 in 3.5 Yrs finally with a heavy heart sold it off. Very very poor built quality of bajaj. I am really disappointed. I loved my bike so much. But for such a poor built quality I had to sell it off.

The e carburettor is a great innovation, but I believe that the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is still the best choice when it comes to performance and value.

With the new Bajaj Pulsar NS125 expected to cost around Rs. 1.10 lakhs, it is easy to see why middle class families are looking to skip bikes in favour of second-hand cars.

It's amazing how this bike can output similar power levels to the Yamaha FZ-X 155 and still be cheaper. It's a great deal and a great bargain for those who need a reliable and powerful bike at a lower cost. Plus, it's a great way to show off your style and have a bit of fun with it too!

With the ever-increasing fuel prices, the Bajaj electric scooters have become a more viable option for commuters. Not only are they more economical in the long run, but they are also more environmentally friendly. Additionally, they provide a smoother ride and are significantly quieter than their petrol counterparts.

The 125 stickers may have been added to the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 to give it a sportier look, but in reality, it looks far better without them. The muscular look of the bike is already attractive enough and there is no need for any additional sticker to complete the look. Removing the stickers will give the bike the perfect look and make it all the more eye-catching.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is available in a range of vibrant colors, from the classic black to the eye-catching orange. The orange color really stands out and is sure to turn heads as you ride it.

Bajaj's strategy of just repackaging the same old bike with new names, new graphics, and a higher price point isn’t going to cut it. Customers today want more than just a bike that looks good. They want performance, style, and features that make their ride enjoyable. The Pulsar NS125 is a great example of this, as it offers plenty of features, a great engine, and a unique style that will make it stand out in the crowd.

Bajaj's all new technology engine is set to revolutionize the motor sports industry. The new NS50 and NS100 engines are designed to produce an impressive 7 horsepower, making them the perfect choice for younger generations who want a powerful and low-emission engine. Bajaj is also offering great exchange offers on the NS125 model, so you can feel the power of the all new engine with a great bargain!
