Hero Glamour (New) Review
Detailed Review by Maxabout Team
Overview
Honda Shine 125 dominates the 125cc motorcycle segment of the Indian two-wheeler industry. Hero MotoCorp competes in this segment as well. But the company currently only has one product in it, the Hero Glamour 125. The motorcycle has been performing well in sales for the Indian two-wheeler brand.
The arrival of the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and the Honda SP 125 has increased competition. Bajaj Pulsar 125 retails in a similar range but the Honda SP 125 retails at a higher price. Hero MotoCorp has updated the Glamour to meet the latest emission standards. Though the changes are not as extensive as those made to other products such as the Passion Pro.
Hero Glamour 125 Design and Style
2024 Hero Glamour has always been a stylish motorcycle, and the BS6 update only improved things. The motorcycle gets a small blacked-out visor, a halogen headlamp with twin pilot lights, and other enhancements. It also has body-coloured mirrors and a 3D Hero MotoCorp logo on the visor. The new Hero Glamour 125 has a dual-tone paint job with eye-catching designs on the body panels, as seen from the side. The bike even has long, single-piece seats that are quite comfortable, and dual-tone mudguards.
2024 Hero Glamour is available in two variants: standard and XTEC. The new Hero Glamour Xtec comes with an all-LED headlamp with a distinctive H-shaped LED DRL. The motorcycle also gets new colour schemes, understated body decorations, and a new H-shaped tail lamp. The Hero Glamour 125 is available in three different colours. The new Xtec variant comes in two colours, it also has a Blaze Edition and a 100 Million Limited Edition.
The new Hero Glamour 125 has a length of 2051 mm and a height of 1074 mm. The disc brake model has a width of 743 mm, while the drum brake model has a width of 720 mm. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1273 mm and a seat height of 793 mm, making it suitable for both short and tall riders. Hero Glamour 125 has a large ground clearance of 180 mm. It allows it to overcome all types of speed bumps and makes it a popular option in rural areas. The motorcycle's gasoline tank has a capacity of ten litres. The disc brake version of the Hero Glamour 125 weighs approximately 123 kg, while the drum brake version weighs approximately 122 kg.
Hero Glamour 125 Engine and Gearbox
A BS6-compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine powers the Hero Glamour 125. This BS6 motor produces 10.7 HP at 7500 RPM of max power and 10.6 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. Unlike the BS4 variant's 4-speed MT, this engine comes with a 5-speed transmission. The new BS6 Glamour also includes Hero's XSens fuel-injection technology. XSens FI tech aids in delivering the best performance and fuel efficiency. The Glamour 125 has a respectable performance. It is a good commuter motorcycle for city errands because of its strong acceleration and excellent pick-up.
The BS6 variant of the Glamour 125 has smooth gear shifts that make riding in city traffic a breeze. The Glamour 125 comes with an idle start/stop system known as i3s. It helps to improve the motorcycle's fuel efficiency. Under normal driving conditions, the motorcycle achieves a range of 55 to 60 kilometers per litre. As a result, the new Hero Glamour 125 BS6 motorcycle uses very little gasoline.
Hero Glamour 125 Suspension, Brakes and Tyres
The new Hero Glamour 125 BS6 is lighter than the previous model, thanks to a new diamond-type frame. The ancient BS4 Glamour was supported by two tubular cradles. The redesigned diamond frame of the motorcycle aids in its handling characteristics. The Glamour 125 is equipped with 5-step adjustable spring-loaded dual shock absorbers at the rear. And telescopic forks with 120 mm of travel at the front for suspension. The new Hero Glamour 125's braking system is handled by a new A 130 mm drum at the rear. On the front, you can choose between a 240 mm disc unit and a 130 mm drum.
The motorcycle includes an Integrated Braking System (IBS) as an added safety measure. The new Glamour 125 motorcycle's 18-inch tubeless tyres. The rear tyre on the motorcycle is a 100/80 section 18-inch unit, and the front tyre is an 80/100-18 size.
Key Features of Hero Glamour 125
2024 Hero Glamour still has a halogen headlamp, an LED taillight, and bulb turn indicators. Standard Glamour 125 models include a slew of semi-analogue, semi-digital instruments. The Hero Glamour 125 Xtec comes standard with an all-digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity. It has turn-by-turn navigation, Google Maps access, and more. It comes with a tachometer and a segment-first side-stand engine cut-off feature. It also features an Eco mode, a gear position indicator, and a real-time mileage indicator.
Hero Glamour 125 Top Speed and Mileage
2024 Hero Glamour 125 gets a mileage of 55 km/l (approximate). The 125cc commuter motorcycle can speed up from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in approximately 7.5 seconds. The Hero Glamour 125 has a top speed of 96 kilometers per hour (real top speed figure).
Hero Glamour 125 Competitors
Bajaj Discover 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon, Honda SP125, and Honda Shine 125 are some of the bikes that compete in the same segment as the Glamour 125.
Conclusion
2024 Hero Glamour is a desirable product that is supported by Hero MotoCorp's extensive dealer and service network. The powerful engine and short turning radius make it an excellent choice for a city motorcycle.
While Hero Glamour 125 is an appealing option, it faces stiff competition from existing and new rivals. The Pulsar 125, for example, offers the muscular styling of the 150cc model at a lower price. The 125cc SP 125 has a modern switchgear and LED headlight that will appeal to young buyers.
As a peppy and brisk 125 cc commuter motorcycle, the Hero Glamour 125 provides good value for money. The price is reasonable, and it provides adequate handling, performance, and comfort.
Fuel economy is a hot topic, as are some other changes. The Hero Glamour 125 is a light and maneuverable city commuter bike with an eager and sporty engine. It also has excellent fuel economy thanks to the AutoSail and i3S technologies.

User Reviews for Hero Glamour
Hero 100 Million Edition
Hero 100 Million Edition 2021 April Red and White model mileage is very good but indicator and self starter many time complaint, authorized servicing very expensive, I'm not satisfied this model.
Best bike in 125cc segment
You can use it anywhere .It's mileage is best as 1.47 liter i.e. in ? Rs 100 in our state , the bike goes for around 100 kilometer.
Best Features: Everything .
Pros: Looks, everything .
Cons: Gear gets stuck sometimes
The Most Versatile Bike
The Hero Glamour is a compact, affordable and versatile motorcycle that puts efficiency on the top of its priorities list. 2 Years ago, I had bought Hero Glamour bike. It gives good mileage of between 60-70 kmpl. If I discussed about its look it doesn't have great look, but it is designed to give us maximum comfort while driving. It has well padded seat which minimizes stress on the lower back and wrists, thereby giving you comfort while riding for long hours. Sometimes gear shifting also caused problem and it become more pathetic when it happens in the busy traffic. In case of pickup if we compared this bike with other bikes it gives low pickup but we can say that it is sufficient because it is not a sports bike.
Best Features: Value For Money
Pros: Build, Great handling & pickup, Comfortable, Good Fuel Economy
Cons: Less Powerful Engine, Looks
Smooth bike for both short & long drive
I bought my honda glamour 2 months back. I had a very good impression about the bike before I owned it. Starting from looks, its one of the best looking bike in 125cc segment. Performance of the bike is very impressive. No vibrations during high speed. Rear mudguard is broader which save my clothes from muddy water in rain. And it has smooth self and power start. I am happy to buy this bike and if you are thinking to buy one, go for it without any doubt.
Best Features: Mileage and Seat comfort
Pros: Fuel efficient, Smooth ride, comfortable seats
Cons: Nothing
Decent Utility Bike
I bought this bike in 2012 unexpectedly without any research or planning on this bike. Actually I wanted to purchase Hero Splendor Pro but then I dopped my idea and bought this machine. Now I feel I made a right decision. I like the looks, mileage, control and pickup. It gives me a mileage of up to 69 kmpl on economy speed on highways after second service. This is truly value for money. While riding this bike, you will feel relax on its seat and there are no chances of back ache. Control of bike is also nice even when I touch the speed 80 kmph. What I don't like is gear shifting especially to and from 2nd gear. Headlights should also be improved, not great especially on highways.
Best Features: Fuel Efficiency & Value For Money
Pros: Comfortable seating position, good fuel efficiency, noise free engine sound, low maintenance cost, value for money, good mileage
Cons: Gear shift not smooth, headlights not good
Hero Glamour (New) Discussion
Glamour should have more color options for users to choose from. There should be an array of colors that range from subtle to bold, and each color should be available in a variety of shades to cater to individual tastes.
Could you provide me with the road price of a vehicle in West Bengal, Kolkata?
The back side light cover of the bike has been an issue for some time. The cover is not attached properly and needs to be replaced.
The bike has a great look, great mileage, stylish design, a vibrant color, and a smooth ride. It's the perfect bike for anyone looking for a reliable and stylish ride.
