Pulsar 200 DTSi is not in production now. The Pulsar 200 was one of the best sports motorcycles when the time Bajaj Auto launched the machine in 2007. However, the bike's production was unfortunately stopped in 2009 due to the presence and increasing demand of the Pulsar 180 and the Pulsar 220.

Sunday, 01 January 2017 01:28 PM The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, which was temporarily discontinued, was reintroduced in early 2017 with BS IV emission compliance. This update included new color schemes and later, a Single Channel ABS variant was added. The bike retained its liquid-cooled engine and 6-speed transmission, making it a powerful option in the market. I think this move helped Bajaj stay competitive in the evolving Indian motorcycle market.
Sunday, 01 April 2012 04:22 PM In 2012, Bajaj launched the Pulsar 200NS, a significant upgrade in the Pulsar lineup. This bike featured a liquid-cooled engine derived from the KTM 200 Duke, a triple-spark plug arrangement, and a 6-speed transmission. It was the first Bajaj motorcycle to include these advanced technologies. I believe this was a bold step by Bajaj, setting a new standard for performance bikes in India.
Saturday, 02 January 2010 09:35 AM The original Pulsar 200 DTSI was phased out around 2010, which was a disappointment for its fans. This model was known for its powerful engine and distinctive design. The discontinuation was part of Bajajs strategy to refresh their lineup, but it left a void for enthusiasts of the 200 DTSI. I think this move, although necessary, was a loss for those who loved the raw power of the 200 DTSI.
Wednesday, 01 April 2009 12:46 AM The Pulsar 200 was initially part of Bajajs UG IV upgrades in 2009, which included electrical enhancements like an auto headlight switch-off and icon illumination. However, the 200cc version was later discontinued, and the fuel injection system was replaced with a carburetor to reduce costs. This move made the bike more affordable, priced at around Rs 73,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. I think this was a strategic decision to cater to a broader market segment.
Thursday, 01 January 2009 03:19 AM In the late 2000s, Bajaj upgraded the Pulsar 200 with features like an oil cooler to manage engine oil temperatures and a digital console with various indicators. This version also included self-cancelling turn signals and a low fuel warning light. These upgrades enhanced the bikes performance and user experience. I believe these additions were crucial in maintaining the Pulsars reputation for reliability and innovation.

MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW
Vehicle Overview Bajaj Pulsar 200 was once sold alongside the other DTS-i models. It was a mini version of famous Pulsar 220, providing a strong sales point for the Pulsar brand few years back. There was no other bike in its segment while it was priced attractively at INR 67,000. This made it quite famous as the 198.8 cc engine was good for 18.01 BHP and 17.68 Nm of torque while the motorcycle weighed the same as Pulsar 180 at 145 kg. The exhaust was shared with the Pulsar 220F, making the motorcycle quite ahead of its time. It was famous among student riders and most people used it for stunting due to its instant high torque output.

I am the owner of the Pulsar 200 DTSi 2007 December model. in the review, it is mentioned as air-cooled but mine is oil-cooled. Now I am using the same bike for 11 and a half years it gives mileage up to 50 km in highways with good performance. Over all the bike is in good condition and enjoy riding this bike. In my opinion there is a lot to explain...

Best Features: ALL ARE GOOD

Pros: BEST IN THE CLASS

Cons: REAR DRUM BRAKE
