Discussions and Questions Bajaj Platina

Does the Bajaj Platina 125 live up to Bajaj's claimed real world fuel efficiency?
29 January 2025 09:47
I think people are being unrealistic in expecting that they will be able to match the numbers the company is claiming. Those are ideal conditions numbers. However, I still get about 60 65 kmpl, which is still very good for a 125cc bike.
Does Bajaj Platina 125's "ComforTec" technology actually make any difference to the ride quality?
29 January 2025 09:47
It's noticeable, but not game-changing. Compared with the older Fazer 8, the seat is too soft for longer rides for my liking, but the longer wheelbase does help with stability. The first hour is comfortable, then a bit uncomfortable.
Is Bajaj Platina 125 a reliable bike for daily long distance commuting?
29 January 2025 09:47
Reliable? Yes. Comfortable for long distances? Not so much. The seat is thin and the vibrations start to get to you after about 50km, but the engine is bulletproof. It's not built for highway runs, but short commutes.
Is the Bajaj Platina 125 really deserving of the upgrade from its 110cc sibling?
29 January 2025 09:47
I owned both of these and it really depends on your usage for the better. If you’re only doing pure city commuting, stick with the 110. If you do weekend rides, or have to take on some hills, then the 125 is worth considering.
I wonder why Bajaj has not added ABS to the Platina 125 when the 110cc has it?
29 January 2025 09:47
Let’s be real, how many Platina riders are riding their bikes so hard that ABS would actually save their lives? This is not a sport bike, this is a city commuter. For its purpose, basic brakes are fine.

I bought this bike from 1 month ago. It's mileage is good. It's suspension is very nice. It's seat is soft but it is narrow for rider. It's sitting position is not good as compare to TVS star city plus and Honda CB Shine. Old Platina kick start bike is good for sitting position.

Best Features: Smooth handling

Pros: Pickup is good

Cons: Sitting position for rider is very bad
