The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It was a powerful motorcycle as its low 110 kg of weight made it easy to sprint from standstill and return an excellent mileage. The commuter motorcycle was last sold for INR 42,000 while the Discover 125 currently sells in place of this really efficient motorcycle. It rivals Honda CB Shine, Hero Super Splendor, Hero Glamour and all other 125 cc bikes in the Indian market.TVS Phoenix is an Indian commuter that carries a 124.53cc air cooled engine, producing 10.8 BHP at 8000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. It comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and weighs 114 kg with full fuel tank. The motorcycle offers first in class, all digital instrument console and that too with a tachometer. Phoenix has 12 liters of fuel tank and could travel 600 kilometers in a single fuel tank. The motorcycle rivals Honda CB Shine, Hero Glamour and Yamaha Saluto in the Indian market. It even comes with an option of front disc brake in the top variant.
