Aprilia RS 150 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Aprilia RS 150 was showcased at Auto Expo 2018. The model was brought here to study user interest in Aprilia bikes as they currently cater to the needs of a scooter as well as superbike customers only. Aprilia showcased Tuono 150 along with RS 150 to get an idea how masses will react to their entry in the 150cc, performance bike segment. The response was positive and Aprilia may soon announce the production details of both these bikes.
Still, a lot of information was given on the show regarding performance and equipment use on RS 150. It comes with segment-leading features for sure. Aprilia RS 150 is powered by a 150cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 18HP at 10,000 rpm and 14Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the slipper clutch was not mentioned in its equipment list. The best part for RS 150 is the use of twin channel ABS as standard.
They have even announced that once the production plans come into action, they will keep everything identical as the once seen on Auto Expo version. This will affect its cost for sure and one can safely assume RS 150 to stay around INR 1.4 lakh. Apart from ABS, it comes with USD forks that will not allow Aprilia to price is lower than the rival Yamaha R15. Even they should think about skipping these two features and pricing the same under INR 1.2 lakh for tough competition.
Both versions selling simultaneously will also be a perfect choice. Front disc brake on Aprilia RS 150 is 300mm while rear on use is 218mm. It will use 17-inch wheels and thus, one can expect 100mm front and 140mm rear tyre for effective price placement. All digital instrument console will be on offer.

Aprilia RS 150 Comments
If the bike priced within 1.30 lakh it would a great competition to the current trend setter R15.Coz Aprilla filled with latest tech while comparing to R15.Dual channel abs makes efficient braking and its power easily over run the R15. If the price is budgetable it would be a great market for Aprilla.
