Should you buy the Honda XRE 300 instead of the CRF300L Rally for long-distance adventure riding?
17 January 2025 06:28
For long-distance adventures, the XRE 300 is the way to go. It's a tank built, and it has better fuel efficiency. The ones I've taken, on multiple 1000+ mile trips, have worked out just fine.
What’s new with the E-Clutch on the 2024 CB650R?
17 January 2025 06:17
But I hope that it doesn’t give people an excuse to be lazy about learning proper technique since it’s great for beginners.
How does a bike like the CB650R fare on long-distance touring in comparison with dedicated touring bikes?
17 January 2025 06:17
Surprisingly, I’ve done a 1000-mile trip on the CB650R, and it was comfortable! All you need to do is add a windscreen, and you're good to go.
When compared to the CBR650R, how does the CB650R ride?
17 January 2025 06:17
I certainly do agree; however, at velocity, the CBR650R feels a much more planted feeling. You're going for a trade-off between comfort and performance.
Will the ABZO VS01 kick off a custom electric motorcycle culture in India?
16 January 2025 11:30
Software could very well be the next place we see the customization scene shift to. Instead, we could expect a market for custom riding modes, power delivery maps and even sounds that are played through external speakers.
Can the Royal Enfield be replaced by the ABZO VS01 as the bike for Indian touring enthusiasts?
16 January 2025 11:30
I’ve been an Enfield rider for a long time so the VS01 is piquing my curiosity. If they can work out their charging anxiety, it could be a great option for riders who want the cruisability of an old school bike without the headaches of maintenance.
Will ABZO VS01's battery performance fare up well in Indian extreme weather conditions?
16 January 2025 11:30
The battery tech is changing very fast. Performance will suffer with extreme temps, but it’s not as bad as people make you think. And you don't have to worry about your engine overheating in traffic jams!
Is the ABZO VS01 an actual game changer for electric cruisers in India?
16 January 2025 11:30
I really think people are missing the point. It’s not about removing every petrol bike on the planet. It’s about providing riders more choice. If you like something stylish and eco friendly, the VS01 is perfect for daily commuters.
Does the 22Motors Flow’s cloud connectivity feature raise some privacy concerns?
16 January 2025 11:25
The Flow cloud features are awesome! It's super convenient being able to track my scooter and to check its status on my phone. Privacy isn’t too much of a concern for me - if you use a smartphone, you’re already being tracked.
Is the 22Motors Flow’s high tech approach scaring off traditional scooter mechanics?
16 January 2025 11:25
The real issue is right to repair. Will 22Motors permit independent mechanics to gain access to diagnostic tools and repair manuals? That’s important for the lifespan of these scooters.
To compare the 22Motors Flow’s AI system to human intuition in real world riding condition.
16 January 2025 11:25
I'm not sure I want to put too much faith in AI. So what happens if the system glitches or fails? It’s not bad to use technology to help teach kids riding skills, but we shouldn’t become dependent on tech for basic skills.
Is the 22Motors Flow e Scooter the game changer in the Indian EV market?
16 January 2025 11:25
I really don't think it's hyped up enough. It's just another e scooter, sure it looks fancy but fancy is fancy. We do not need tech loaded showpieces in the Indian market. We need affordable options.
Let’s see how the Aprilia SXR 125 fares against electric scooters on running costs and performance.
16 January 2025 11:18
I regret not going electric. I was a bit disappointed by the fuel costs of the SXR 125, particularly as fuel prices seem to be going up. An Ather would have been more economical in the long run.
How does the Aprilia SXR 125 fare in Bangalore's notorious traffic?
16 January 2025 11:18
For its size, it’s amazingly agile! I was worried about the maxi scooters dimensions, but it weaves through traffic like a champ. You get a great view of the road ahead because you are sitting higher.
How does the Aprilia SXR 125’s suspension tackle Indian road conditions?
16 January 2025 11:18
It's been pretty capable, I've found. The ride is smoothed out by the larger wheels, and it soaks up small bumps well. It is definitely more planted than my old Activa.
Is the Aprilia SXR 125 a reliable long distance tourer?
16 January 2025 11:18
The SXR 125 has been a blast, I've done a few 300km round trips on it. Good wind protection, comfortable seating and enough pep for highway cruising. All you need to do is pack lightly and plan your fuel stop.
At Rs 1.26 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) does the Aprilia SXR 125 justify the premium price tag?
16 January 2025 11:18
That depends on what you’re looking for. If you want something different and are willing to spend a bit extra on it, go right ahead. However, if practicality is what you’re after, there are better options.
Is the Aprilia SXR 160 a bike for new riders, or is it too powerful for beginners?
16 January 2025 11:13
In my opinion it is overkill for a new rider. The cost, not just for the power, but for the power. So is it really worth risking dropping an expensive scooter and potentially damaging it when you still learning? Start cheap, then upgrade.
Let’s find out how the Aprilia SXR 160 fares against the other maxi scooters in the Indian market.
16 January 2025 11:13
It is really showing now that there are no updates. The SXR - engine, chassis, comfort - is still solid at its core, but it's lost a lot of the features that have become standard on newer maxi-scooters. The truth is it needs a serious refresh to stay competitive.
So, how well does the Aprilia SXR 160 perform as a daily commuter in increasingly traffic dense Indian cities?
16 January 2025 11:13
While the SXR is not a bike for me to take out for a long ride, I love my SXR for commuting in Delhi. The bigger wheels take the hit out of potholes better than smaller scooters, and the comfy seat takes the edge off traffic on long rides. It could be more fuel efficient though.
