22Motors Flow eScooter has been in the news for a while now for its sleek design and advanced features. Enthusiasts say it’s revolutionizing urban mobility, detractors say it’s just another overhyped product. On paper, the scooter is an AI enabled system, removable battery and cloud connectivity. However, its practicability, reliability and after sales service in Indian context has been a matter of concern. Now that Bounce has acquired the Flow eScooter there is uncertainty surrounding the future of the Flow. And is it really living up to its promises, or is it just having trouble getting its feet in a crowded market? So, let’s take a deep dive into this debate and look at how people perceive if the 22Motors Flow eScooter is really changing the Indian EV landscape or just riding the hype wave.

I’ve been using the Flow for a few months now, and it’s pretty impressive. The removable battery is what stands out, but the AI features are cool. No more range anxiety!

I really don't think it's hyped up enough. It's just another e scooter, sure it looks fancy but fancy is fancy. We do not need tech loaded showpieces in the Indian market. We need affordable options.

Game-changer? It's definitely pushing the boundaries, maybe not yet. The neat thing about cloud connectivity is tracking and diagnostics. But it’s making other manufacturers up their game.

As a EV enthusiast, I appreciate what 22Motors is trying to do, but come on, Indian infrastructure is not ready for such advanced vehicles. First, we need better charging networks.

The Flow was exciting, but after Bounce acquired 22Motors, I’m not so sure anymore. Will they keep their own vision? Or will it join the ranks of the rental scooters?

You’re all missing the point. It’s not about features, it’s about changing the perception of e scooters. Modern, sleek and makes EVs look cool. That's a game changer in itself.

I rode one of them and it is smooth, but I worry about the long term reliability. We need more than fancy tech to survive Indian roads.

Punit on 12 January 2025 22:10
If they can make it affordable for the masses, that would be the real game changer. It’s just a toy for the upper middle class right now.

Credit where it's due. Flow is innovative and even though it’s not perfect it’s moving the industry forward. That’s why we need more companies to take this kind of risk.

But I'll reserve judgment until I see how the after sales service pans out. A lot of the new EV companies promise the moon but can’t even get the basic maintenance and parts availability right.
