How does the Aprilia SXR 125 fare in Bangalore's notorious traffic?

Question

Despite the fact that Bangalore is famous for its tech industry, it is also infamous for its congested roads and difficult traffic. In the city, scooter riders often have long commutes, unpredictable traffic, and need to start and stop frequently. The Aprilia SXR 125’s maxi scooter styling and larger dimensions than typical Indian scooters bring to mind how maneuverable it will be in tight spaces. For some riders, they worry about the radius of the turning and its ability to filter through traffic, but for others, it has stability and a road commanding presence. It also talks about how its engine performance and transmission tuning deal with Bangalore traffic's stop and go manner. So, let’s see how the SXR 125 fares in these urban jungle conditions and if it makes for a practical daily commuter in India’s Silicon Valley.

It's a mixed bag. Wider roads and flyovers are great but really congested areas can be a handful. You have to think a little more ahead.

I switched from Activa, the SXR 125 is not as nimble, but I feel safer on it. The bigger wheels and better brakes are also giving me more confidence in unpredictable traffic.

@ashish-kum · Answer

I am a daily commuter and love it. Those long traffic jams are much less bearable with a comfortable riding position and smooth engine.

@kuldeep-te · Answer

It's okay, but not great. I'd like the turning radius to be wider too, as it can be annoying trying to make U turns or drive in tight lanes.

@krishna-bo · Answer

It fits Bangalore traffic perfectly. It has enough grunt to accelerate quickly when gaps open up, and it’s very stable at low speeds.

@nirati-sri · Answer

In really tight spots it can be a struggle, honestly. It’s harder to squeeze through gaps that smaller scooters can easily manage with its wider body.

@deepak-khu · Answer

For its size, it’s amazingly agile! I was worried about the maxi scooters dimensions, but it weaves through traffic like a champ. You get a great view of the road ahead because you are sitting higher.
