How does the Aprilia SXR 125’s suspension tackle Indian road conditions?

Indian roads are diverse, often treacherous, and can include smooth highways, pothole filled city streets and rough rural paths. Sporty in character and with a maxi-scooter design, the Aprilia SXR 125 comes with a suspension setup which is unlike that of an Indian scooter. Riders love that it can take bumps and will ride stable, others think it is too stiff for comfort on longer rides. It has a lot of debate about how comfortable it is, and how sporty it is, relative to more traditional scooters. It has also raised concerns about ground clearance and how the scooter will deal with speed breakers and other sudden road obstacles. So let us discuss how the suspension of the SXR 125 tackles the Indian road conditions that are varied and often unpredictable.

Firm side, but I love it. It really lets you feel the road, and gives great feedback. Plus, it’s good at handling those unexpected potholes!

Too stiff for my liking. After long rides, and especially on bad roads, my back hurts. I wish they had done a softer setup.

It's a good balance, I think. Not so harsh that is makes it uncomfortable, but sporty enough to be fun. On really bad stretches, you just need to slow down a bit.

It's been pretty capable, I've found. The ride is smoothed out by the larger wheels, and it soaks up small bumps well. It is definitely more planted than my old Activa.

It's honestly overkill for most Indian roads. It handles well, yeah, but how much sportiness do you really need for your daily commute?

It handles speed breakers so well that I love it. It has decent ground clearance and doesn’t sound like some other scooters scraping.

It's a mixed bag. Good on good roads, but harsh on really bad patches. When things get rough, I've learned to stand up a bit on the footboard.

It's surprisingly good for a maxi scooter. It has a longer wheelbase, which helps with stability, and doesn't bottom out as I thought it would.
