How does the Jaunty L perform on steep hills?

On moderate hills it's fine, but on anything too steep it struggles. On the really tough inclines I have to help it out by kicking.

Surprisingly good! I live in a hilly area and it does most slopes without a sweat. You shouldn’t expect to keep top speed uphill.

Depends on your weight. I am on the heavier side and it definitely slows down on hills. It seems the lighter riders have better luck.

Not great, to be honest. For serious hills, the motor just doesn't have enough torque. Gentle slopes are fine, but that's all.

It's a champ on hills! At the beginning I was skeptical but it’s impressed me time and time again. For best performance, just keep the battery charged.

Downhill can be sketchy, but uphill is decent. On steep descents the brakes feel a little weak so be careful and plan your route.

On hills the highest power mode is a lot better. It eats through the battery faster, but at least you’re not stuck pushing.

Out of the box, it’s pretty limited, but there’s a growing aftermarket scene. I've had no trouble adding custom grips and a better headlight.

Forget about serious mods. The controller is locked down tight and there’s very little room for mechanical upgrades. What you see is what you get.

I’ve also seen some cool custom paint jobs and decals on these. A easy way to make it stand out without having to mess with the internals.

You risk voiding the warranty, but there's potential. I have upgraded the tires and put on a suspension kit. Rides like a dream now!

The custom ROM is actually being worked on by a guy on the forums, but the stock firmware is actually decent. That might open some interesting possibilities.

It's a shame it's not more mod friendly. Changing the deck grip tape is even harder than it should be. If you want to customize, stick to accessories.

If you’re willing to get creative, it’s a great platform for DIY upgrades. I’ve also beefed up the controller and added a custom battery pack. It's a rocket now!

I’m honestly overhyped about the Jaunty L. It's pretty average in terms of performance, sure, but it looks nice. For the price you can find better options.

I'd say, as an owner, it's worth it. It’s solidly built and super comfortable for daily commutes. It does the job well, but don't expect miracles.

For the price point, the hype is justified. Give me a similar e scooter for less money. This is a great entry level option.

It's okay but nothing earth shattering. The range isn't as good as the Trust's and they don't accelerate as fast. If you have modest expectations then it's okay.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after test riding one I'm impressed. It's surprisingly good on the ride quality and feels well built. Definitely worth considering.

It’s more about the hype of the brand than the hype of the scooter itself. In reality, the Jaunty L is pretty run of the mill, but Amo Mobility has good marketing.
