Also discussed is the stability and controllability of the descending the scooters on steep slopes. If you live in hilly areas, the ability of Jaunty L to take inclines could be a make or break feature for you. So, let's get into the real world and see how this e scoot fares when the road starts to climb.

On moderate hills it's fine, but on anything too steep it struggles. On the really tough inclines I have to help it out by kicking.

Surprisingly good! I live in a hilly area and it does most slopes without a sweat. You shouldn’t expect to keep top speed uphill.

Depends on your weight. I am on the heavier side and it definitely slows down on hills. It seems the lighter riders have better luck.

Not great, to be honest. For serious hills, the motor just doesn't have enough torque. Gentle slopes are fine, but that's all.

It's a champ on hills! At the beginning I was skeptical but it’s impressed me time and time again. For best performance, just keep the battery charged.

Downhill can be sketchy, but uphill is decent. On steep descents the brakes feel a little weak so be careful and plan your route.

On hills the highest power mode is a lot better. It eats through the battery faster, but at least you’re not stuck pushing.
