I’ve been regular using the Jaunty S for one year, how is the battery life?

One common problem with electric vehicles is battery degradation, and the Jaunty S is no different. Amo Mobility claims a range of 60-65 km on a single charge, but some users are reporting drops in range after use. This will differ from rider to rider; charging habits, weather conditions, and riding style can all impact battery life. And there's the question of replacement costs — how easy and how much would it cost to get a new battery when the time comes. So let's discuss, share experiences and tips for battery health maintenance, and see if the long term performance of the Jaunty S holds up to expectations.

The range anxiety is real. Even though it hasn’t happened yet, I’m always paranoid about running out of juice.

After 18 months, no problems have appeared. I guess people who complain are probably overloading the scooter or riding aggressively.

The removable battery is a god send. I alternate between two of them which lengthens their overall lifespan.

It turns out that regular short trips are better for the battery than the occasional long ride. Keeps it exercised.

It's been hit or miss. It seems to drain faster on some days and I get full range on others. It’s definitely weather related.

Battery degradation is very disappointing. After just 14 months, I’m already looking into replacement options.

So far my battery life has been great! I believe that’s because I am careful not to overcharge and to keep the batteries away from extreme temperatures.

After a year I've seen about a 10 percent drop in range. It’s not terrible, but you can definitely feel it on a longer trip.
