Is the Amo Mobility Jaunty Pro’s design more style than substance?

In addition, The Jaunty Pro’s sleek and modern looking lines are definitely a selling point, the futuristic look will appeal to those bold young riders. But some users have been critical of Philips' apparent focus on style at the expense of core feature functionality. There is debate on whether the seat is comfortable enough on long rides, whether the headlights are sufficient, and where the controls are most sensibly located. The storage space is also discussed, and if it’s enough for daily use. Some say the design choices make it harder to maintain, while others love the scooter's unique look as a standout in an otherwise crowded market. That has led to a larger discussion about the balance between aesthetics and functionality in electric scooter design, and whether or not manufacturers are focusing on the right features for urban commuters.

It could definitely use better storage space. My helmet barely fits under the seat. That's a bit of an oversight for a scooter marketed for daily use.

With the sleek design, I have had no problems with maintenance. Everything important is still available. But I think some people just think that good looking vehicles are always harder to maintain.

Utility features aren’t the only thing that makes something practical. I use my car less because I want to ride the Jaunty Pro more. That’s practical in a way.

The design has grown on me. Initially, I felt it was pushing itself too hard to be futuristic, but I appreciate how it actually stands out from the sea of generic looking scooters on the road.

Amo, I think, struck a good balance. The Jaunty Pro is modern without being too gimmicky with design. And let's face it, a lot of people care about looking good while riding.

If you ask me, style over substance. The headlights, though cool, don’t light the road up enough to ride at night. For safety, I had to install auxiliary lights.

In my experience, the design is actually pretty practical. It’s decent storage for a scooter of this size and I find the control layout intuitive. Plus, it gets a lot of stares at traffic lights!

The seat gets uncomfortable on rides longer than 30 minutes, but I gotta admit, I love how my Jaunty Pro looks. If only they had put a little more thought into ergonomics.
