Our take on this /// Verdict
The Chevrolet Sail U-VA LT ABS petrol variant is a well-rounded family hatchback that offers a blend of comfort, space, and practicality. While it may not excel in the performance department, its 1.2-liter Smartech petrol engine provides adequate power for city driving and occasional highway cruises. The cars ride quality is excellent, handling bad roads with ease, and the light steering and clutch make it ideal for urban navigation. However, the sensitive steering at high speeds and the lack of certain features like climate control and steering-mounted audio controls are notable drawbacks. Overall, its a solid choice for those prioritizing comfort, space, and fuel efficiency over outright performance.
Price
The Chevrolet Sail U-VA LT ABS petrol variant is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant is around Rs. 6.41 lakhs, which is quite attractive given the features and space it offers. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes and registration, the price can go up to around Rs. 7.5 lakhs to Rs. 8 lakhs, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the Sail U-VA a strong contender in the entry-level hatchback segment, offering good value for money with its spacious interiors, comfortable ride, and decent feature list.

While buying a car we have to consider sum total of it like space, comfort, safety, brakes, engine, mileage, suspension, ingress and egress, driver's view, feeling of fatigue during long drive. I don't feel pain in the back and in neck while driving 6-7 hrs at a stretch. My age is 50 plus. So I think this is the one of the best hatchbacks.
