Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
Yamaha R15 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Yamaha R15 is India’s highest selling sportbike from its segment. No other bike, less or more premium, has gained such cult fan following that existing buyers are planning to upgrade to new R15 Version 3.0 from existing R15-S or R15 V2. They have given timely improvements to R15 over these years and more than that, the present version was made by keeping flagship Yamaha R1 and R6 in mind. Designers clearly went the same way as rear half of 2018 Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 is highly inspired from both these track focused options. It even comes with class leading aerodynamics.
Yamaha R15 is basically divided into three variants. Most affordable out of all, R15-S is equipped with unibody seat and resembles R15 V1 in many ways. It share parts with V2 and thus, comes priced competitively with other variants. Yamaha R15-S can be bought for INR 1,15,746 and comes in Adrenalin Red, Track White and Spark Green shade. It is best suited for riders who mostly have a pillion with them. Yamaha R15 V2 is priced at INR 1,18,838 and comes in Adrenaline Red, Revving Blue and Sparky Green shade. Both these bikes share 149cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine.
R15 Version 3.0 is priced at INR 1.25 lakh. It carries twin LED headlights, slipper clutch, bigger front disc brake, wide tyres and all new engine when compared to other two R15 variants. The 155.1cc, single cylinder, variable valve actuated engine is good for 19.04 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 15 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The engine comes with 6-speed gearbox and claims 136 kmph of top speed. Riding dynamics have improved over time as R15 Version 3.0 gets higher placed seat, sportier handlebar placement and all new full digital instrument console. It remains unchallenged by other products in India.
