Vehicle Overview Yamaha RXZ 135 was one of the last models on sale with a 2-stroke engine. It uses the popular 132cc, 2-stroke, 7 port torque injection engine producing 14 BHP at 7500 rpm and 12 Nm at 6500 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims a top speed of 120 kmph. The motorcycle weighs 115 kg and carries a 10.5 liters fuel tank. Yamaha RXZ 135 Review

Quick Review by Maxabout

Yamaha RXZ135 is classic Indian legend that performed outstandingly during its time of sale. It is lightweight and has a low ride height, which makes it quite comfortable to drive. This commuter bike was quite popular despite its low mileage.

The RXZ135 was powered by a 132cc single cylinder 2-stroke engine that churns out a maximum power of 14 hp and a peak torque of 12 Nm. The lightweight of the bike, at 115 kg, was a big factor in its performance. The power-to-weight ratio of the bike was the best in its class. There was an option to choose the bike with either a four-speed transmission or a five-speed transmission. The combined mileage of the bike was between 25 kmpl and 35 kmpl and the top speed was 110 kmph.

At its time, there were only a few options available in the Indian markets for this price range, and its only competitor was the Suzuki Shogun. But in terms of performance, the RXZ 135 outshone the Suzuki completely. Many features that we see today on the most basic bikes were missing from the RXZ 135 but still, it was a legend and still continues to be one of the bikes that people want. There was no ABS on the bike and the front featured a disc brake while the rear featured drum brakes. There are telescopic forks on the front and a swing arm at the rear which handle the suspension duties.

The RXZ135 was available in three different shades, Black Gold, Candy Maroon, Riviera Green.
