Yamaha Enticer Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Yamaha has been on the track from the very start and production of some very popular motorcycles from time to time has become their hobby. Not just this only, discontinuation of the same due to some reason has always been in their fate. The Enticer was one of the best Indian cruiser motorcycles and people even remember till date the fun they had after riding it for the first time. It was discontinued in 3 years of production but remains in the hearts of many till date.
Yamaha Enticer Design & Style
The best cruiser design of its time was what Yamaha manufactured. The low rider design seems to fly with the flowing wind, with a very genuine front and back design. The side view was the best an Indian cruiser could have at that time and the aggressiveness of its exhaust made it look more attractive than ever. The spoke-wheels had their own charm to the rider and the handlebar style gave nothing less than a movie star feel. Overall, it was mind blowing piece of architecture.
Yamaha Enticer Instrument Console
The instrument console was one of the simplest in the world, with just a round shaped chrome ring enclosing a speedometer and an odometer. This explains that what all you need to care about is the road and its feel, no need to be in the complexities of the world. Seems a bit odd for today's scenario but the time it existed, this thing would have really mattered a lot.
Yamaha Enticer Engine & Performance
Yamaha powered its Enticer with a 123.7 cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. It produced 11 BHP @ 8000 rpm and 10.4 NM @ 6500 rpm. It had a 4-speed gearbox but the top speed was around 112 kmph. It was really quick for its time with a 0-60 kmph below 8 seconds and after all this a fuel efficiency of 55 kmpl made it a nice choice among the youth.
Yamaha Enticer Brakes & Suspension
Yamaha played a safe game as they had a 240 mm disc brake for the front whereas the rear was managed by a 130 mm drum brake only. The front had telescopic forks for the suspension whereas the rear had adjustable shock absorber at both sides. The height of the bike was kept very low making it easy for every rider to ride and also the premium feel of cruising was achieved through that only. It had 90/90-R18 tire for the front and a 120/80-R16 for the rear. The sizes were pretty big for that time and the safety factor was also purely justified.
Yamaha Enticer Colours & Price
The Enticer was available in Black, Maroon and Beige shade with a price tag of INR 48,000. It was more than a bike for those who really loved it.

Is it a wise decision to buy old Yamaha Enticer?
29 December 2022 06:05Yamaha Enticer's parts are scarcely available and it is better to go for the new Avenger 150 instead of buying an old Enticer. The new Avenger offers dark themed Matt Blue shade which looks perfect on its body type. If you wish for chrome covered cruiser, the Avenger 220 Cruise with Black and Desert Brown shade options is the best one in the industry currently. The 150 cc engine if good for 45 kmpl while the 220 cc engine returns a decent 35 kmpl from the cruiser tuned DTS-i motor. From where can I buy a Yamaha Enticer with self-start & disc brake?
29 December 2022 05:50Yamaha Enticer has been discontinued from a long time ago and availability of the model required can only be expected at the used motorcycle sale shops. The condition of the bike would not be as a new one as they would have been driven by multiple riders through the passage of time. Getting a technically good Enticer would only be possible if you find a true Enticer fan who wished to sell his bike for some reason. You can even contact an Enticer club as they exist in many cities. The bike has been powered by a 125 cc engine producing 11 BHP and 10.9 NM of torque. It comes with 4 speed transmission and a 240 mm of disc brake for the front. The bike returned a mileage of 55 kmpl. It was available for INR 48,000 at its time of sale.

User Reviews for Yamaha Enticer
Comfort = Enticer
I got this bike from my cousin as a gift & I never experience the comfort, smoothness with any other bike. This is the best bike i ever owned. Using this bike in 2021 as well....
Best Features: Seating Postion
Pros: Best Seating Position, Smooth machine
Cons: Machine could have bigger CC
No bike can take Enticer's place
Low price and high comfort, further enhanced fun with good top speed and impressive mileage
Best Features: It's too comfortable
Pros: I never felt this comfortable on any other bike.
Cons: Nothing
No other Cruiser can take its Place
I am riding Yamaha Enticer since I got enrolled in college from last two years. My father didn't allowed me to ride this heavy machine as it belongs to him before me. My father has maintained this bike very well and I admired it too from the day we bought it. Even now when there are vast range of motorcycles are available in the market, I like my Enticer most. It seemed to keep me close to the beauty of past. It offers perfect seating posture and the seats are so comfy that you hardly experience any tiredness on long tours. Its heavy weight gives more control on speed and rough roads. Moreover, the foot pegs also provide perfect ride. Actually, it is designed to give a smooth ride which stand out of the way. Then comes mileage, it is not a fuel efficient motorcycle and one should not expect a good one from a cruiser bike. For me its fine, I can pay anything for smooth and classy ride. Mileage doesn't matter me. Yet if anyone wants to buy a used one with 15k mileage I would say ‘go for it’ because this is the bike that sure will last long.
