Ultraviolette’s co-founder, Narayan Subramaniam, has thrown an open challenge to traditional ICE two-wheeler makers like Bajaj, inviting them to a drag race against the F99. This challenge is more about collaboration and innovation rather than competition. The F99s performance capabilities make it an exciting contender in the Indian market. I believe this challenge will spark interesting collaborations and advancements in the industry.

Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled the F99 electric superbike in India, marking it as the countrys first-ever superbike. The F99 boasts a 90kW motor, accelerating from 0-100kmph in just three seconds and reaching a top speed of 265kmph. Its design is inspired by supersonic jets, featuring sharp body panels, active aero, and cooling ducts. I believe this bike is a game-changer for Indias motorcycle industry, showcasing local innovation and performance capabilities.

The Ultraviolette F99 is set to attempt records for the highest top speed and the fastest quarter-mile time for an Indian motorcycle within the next 90 days. The bike features advanced technologies such as an aluminium frame, carbon fibre bodywork, and an innovative ‘Air-Blade’ system for enhanced stability. With its lightweight design and powerful motor, the F99 is poised to redefine Indias motorcycle landscape. I think this ambitious move will not only set records but also elevate Indias status in global motorcycling.

The Ultraviolette F99 has been designed and engineered entirely in Bengaluru, reflecting India’s growing role in innovation and technology-enabled design. The bikes liquid-cooled motor and air-cooled battery pack contribute to its impressive performance metrics. With its aggressive riding position and aerodynamic features, the F99 looks as good as it performs. I think this bike is a proud example of Indian engineering and design prowess.

Ultraviolette plans to expand its network of Space Stations to more cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Mangalore, in addition to the existing locations in Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. The F99 is expected to hit the market sometime in 2025. I believe this expansion will make high-performance electric motorcycles more accessible to a wider audience in India.
