USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS NTorq Race Edition V2 is a standout in the 125cc scooter segment in India, offering a unique blend of performance, technology, and styling. What impresses me most is its peppy performance, particularly in the Sport mode, which delivers a sharper throttle response and quicker acceleration. The scooters build quality is solid, with a fit-and-finish that is hard to fault, although the stiff suspension setup may not be ideal for long rides. The plethora of features, including the TVS SMARTXONNECT system with voice assist, Bluetooth connectivity, and a comprehensive digital console, make it a tech-savvy choice. However, the ride quality can be a bit harsh due to the sporty suspension, which might not appeal to everyone. Overall, its a great option for those who value performance and modern features, but it may not be the best fit for family use or long, comfortable rides.

Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 09:21 PM The mileage of the TVS NTorq Race Edition V2 is a mixed bag, depending on how you use it. In the Street mode, which is tuned for better fuel economy, the scooter can deliver around 38-42 kml, which is comparable to its predecessors. However, when you switch to the Sport mode, the fuel economy takes a hit due to the increased power and torque output. Despite this, the scooters fuel injection system and the RT-FI technology ensure that the engine is refined and efficient. If ridden calmly, the scooter can return decent fuel economy, but aggressive riding will naturally reduce the mileage. Overall, its a balance between performance and efficiency, making it suitable for both daily commuting and occasional spirited rides. TVS NTorq Race Edition V2 Review

27 Jun, 2022 11:25 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The all-new TVS NTORQ Race XP is India's first 125cc scooter with more than ten horsepower. XP, or Xtra Power, boosts the power of your ride like never before. The industry's first numerous Ride Modes allow you to tailor your scooter's performance to your riding style. Control your scooter with Voice Assist and make a statement with eye-catching Race-inspired designs.

The new TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP features a new race-inspired colour scheme and graphics. To round out the colour palette, the scooter comes with red painted alloy wheels. The new Ntorq 125 Race XP model now includes a TVS SMARTXONNECT connection platform with Voice Assist capabilities.

The TVS NTorq Race XP edition is painted in a combination of Red, Silver, and Black. The Race XP also includes red-painted alloy wheels and race-inspired logos. The TVS NTorq's design is inspired by stealth aircraft, according to TVS. The headlamp and tail lamps add to the scooter's sleek and aggressive appearance. The scooter also has comfortable seats and handlebars.

The same 124.8cc three-valve air-cooled BS6 single-cylinder mill that is now available in fuel-injected form powers the TVS Ntorq. Despite meeting BS6 pollution requirements, the engine keeps its performance. The TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP has 10.06 HP and 10.8 Nm of torque, which is 0.82 HP and 0.3 Nm more than the standard type.

The scooter has two modes: race and street. With the flip of a switch, the user can switch between modes, making it the first IC engine scooter with multiple ride modes. The Street Mode is great for navigating the urban jungle and traffic. The mode promises increased mileage and a more comfortable ride. The Race Mode, on the other hand, provides improved highway performance and the ability to propel the scooter to a top speed of 98 kmph.

TVS SMARTXONNECT is standard on the TVS NTorq Race XP. The AI-ready technology includes Bluetooth connectivity, which allows users to link their smartphones via the TVS Connect mobile app. The app is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay operating systems. The TVS SMARTXONNECT also has Spoken Assist and can recognise over 15 distinct voice commands. Voice commands can also be used to begin navigation and change modes. The navigation feature now includes a new Save Address function.

Before the launching of their new model Ntorq XT, the TVS NTorq 125 XP was the most expensive variant in the portfolio. The extra expense of the new NTorq is well worth it when you consider all of the features and greater power it brings to the table. The Ntorq Race XP is only available in one colour scheme: Race Red Black.
