USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 is a standout in its class, offering a compelling blend of performance, safety, and style. With the addition of a slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS, this bike has significantly enhanced its safety and performance credentials. The slipper clutch allows for aggressive downshifting without the rear wheel hopping, making it a joy to ride, especially for enthusiasts. The ABS system, which is the only one in its class to offer dual-channel functionality, provides excellent braking control even on wet surfaces. While the bike is slightly on the expensive side, with an on-road price of around Rs 1.23 lakhs in Mumbai, it is well worth the investment for those seeking a reliable, powerful, and safe riding experience.
Price
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 is priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price in Delhi starts at around Rs 1.10 lakhs for the ABS variant, which is a premium of about Rs 13,800 over the base carburettor version. In Mumbai, the on-road price comes to approximately Rs 1.23 lakhs. While this may seem a bit steep, the additional features such as the slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS justify the cost. For buyers looking for a performance-oriented bike with robust safety features, the slight premium is a worthwhile investment.
Latest Updates
Friday, 08 March 2024 07:05 AM The 2024 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been updated to be E20 compliant, with no significant changes apart from the new fuel standard. It still features a 197.75cc BS6 engine, adjustable suspension, and dual-channel ABS. The bike retains its connected features through the SmartXonnect app. I think this update is a necessary step towards environmental compliance, but it doesnt bring much excitement for those looking for new features.
Thursday, 24 June 2021 09:25 AM TVS updated the Apache RTR 200 4V with Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect mobile app technology, allowing users to connect their smartphones and access features like navigation, race telemetry, and crash alerts. This update was part of a broader refresh that included an updated console and a gold finish racing chain. I believe this tech integration makes the bike more modern and user-friendly.
