TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition is a cosmetically enhanced version of standard RTR 160. It can be bought in White shade and offers running horse moniker in place of standard TVS logo like other RTR 160 variants. The second change comes in the form of Red stripes that can be spotted on its fuel tank, front fender, and rear under seat panels. No other changes were made on Apache RTR 160 Race Edition. TVS is simply replacing the stripes on standard models with Red ones and charging INR 1000 more on Race Edition is full unjustified for the Indian market.

Performance on Apache RTR 160 witnessed no change at all while design lines still feel younger in comparison to other bikes launched around its original entry. This is the only reason why they chose to refresh this moniker with Race Edition branding and bring higher total sales under Apache lineup. The series currently has one RTR 160 variant (six different versions by adding a disc, sticker set and base body shade), one RTR 180 (four versions, including one with dual channel ABS), one RTR 160 4V (three versions with FI in the top one) and one RTR 200 (three versions with optional ABS and FI).

They have made 16 versions out of 4 different engines in India. TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition is powered by a familiar 159.7cc, single cylinder engine producing 15.2 BHP at 8500 rpm and 13.1 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims 118 kmph of top speed. As the bike remains identical in terms of design and styling, weight also remains the same at 137 kg. It is the most rider-centric product of this segment as you get 16 liters of fuel carrying capacity, resulting in more than 640 kilometers of riding range in a single fuel tank.

Hi, My name is ganesh and I am having a TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS, recently I changed my back tyre and the MRF seller has changed 100/90 17" and he is saying that this is the specified tyre for Apache, but specification says 110/80 17" so can you clarify what is the correct tyre for my bike

I have Apache RTR 180 ABS version with which I can tempt other bikers with its excellent racing throttle respond as the name itself tells ......really good

Best Features: ABS braking really nice, works well

Pros: Mileage, performance, road grip

Cons: None observed, running good now, run 11000kms

Yesterday itself (23/11/2015) I purchased Matte blue ABS version of this cool bike. I already had one 160 RTR and Pulsar 180. But this one beats them. Powerful engine with high thrust power with good center of gravity are best features of this bike. Moreover the matte Blue colour is really awesome and makes it different from others. I will recommend all of you that always you can go for this bike as you'll never regret. Good luck !!
