Our take on this /// Verdict
The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V (BS6 model) is a robust and feature-rich motorcycle that has managed to stay relevant despite being around for over a decade. Its peppy performance, particularly in Sport mode, is impressive, with quick throttle response and brisk acceleration. The bikes agility and handling are enhanced by its lower kerb weight and the new TVS Remora tyres. However, it does come with some drawbacks, such as noticeable engine vibrations between 5,000-6,000 rpm, which can be uncomfortable for both the rider and pillion. The addition of ride modes Rain, Urban, and Sport adds versatility, making it suitable for various riding conditions. While it may not be as refined as the 4V model, the Apache RTR 160 2V still offers great value for money, especially considering its feature-loaded package and comfortable ride quality.
Price
In India, the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V (BS6 model) is priced competitively. The ex-showroom price starts at around Rs 1.17 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 1.24 lakh for the top variant. On-road prices, however, can vary depending on the state and local taxes, but you can expect to pay around Rs 1.35 lakh to Rs 1.45 lakh for the top variant. Given the features and performance it offers, this pricing makes the Apache RTR 160 2V a compelling option in the 160cc segment. The cost is particularly attractive when you consider the bikes build quality, the inclusion of smart LED DRLs, an updated instrument cluster, and the presence of ABS.

Hi, My name is ganesh and I am having a TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS, recently I changed my back tyre and the MRF seller has changed 100/90 17" and he is saying that this is the specified tyre for Apache, but specification says 110/80 17" so can you clarify what is the correct tyre for my bike
Best Features: Good pick up engine
Pros: I like bike pick, very quick responsive
Cons: Vibrations
I have Apache RTR 180 ABS version with which I can tempt other bikers with its excellent racing throttle respond as the name itself tells ......really good
Best Features: ABS braking really nice, works well
Pros: Mileage, performance, road grip
Cons: None observed, running good now, run 11000kms
Yesterday itself (23/11/2015) I purchased Matte blue ABS version of this cool bike. I already had one 160 RTR and Pulsar 180. But this one beats them. Powerful engine with high thrust power with good center of gravity are best features of this bike. Moreover the matte Blue colour is really awesome and makes it different from others. I will recommend all of you that always you can go for this bike as you'll never regret. Good luck !!
