Our take on this /// Verdict
The Triumph Tiger 800 XCx is a versatile and robust adventure bike that has impressed me over extensive use. With over 50,000 kilometers clocked, it still delivers a thrilling ride, whether on the highway or off-road trails. The bikes WP suspension is plush, making it incredibly comfortable for long-distance touring, and the seats are designed with a 3D Net foam technology that conforms to the riders shape, enhancing comfort further. The engine, derived from the Speed Triple, offers a smooth and powerful ride, with 94 horsepower and a rev-happy nature that makes it a joy to ride. However, there are some minor niggles, such as a mild vibration between 3,000-4,000 rpm as the bike ages, and the high center of gravity can make slow-speed off-roading tricky. Despite these, the overall experience is positive, and the bikes reliability, backed by solid support from Triumph, makes it a great choice for adventure seekers.
Price
In India, the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx is priced around 13.76 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can escalate to approximately 16-17 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. While this may seem steep, the bikes performance, comfort, and durability make it a worthwhile investment for those serious about adventure biking. The extended warranty option, which I highly recommend, adds a layer of security and can save significant costs in the long run.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 02:13 PM The mileage of the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx is respectable, especially considering its power and size. On the highway, it can deliver around 17 kilometers per liter, and in mixed conditions, the fuel efficiency is still commendable. This makes it a viable option for both short weekend getaways and long-distance tours, keeping running costs manageable despite its powerful engine.
