Triumph has announced that one of the limited-edition 2022 Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition motorcycles, serial number 0278, will be auctioned off at the Mecum Auctions in Monterey, California, with all proceeds going to the Boys Republic, a nonprofit school for troubled youth. This bike is part of a exclusive run of just 1,000 units worldwide and features a unique serial number matching the number plate used by Steve McQueen in the 1964 International Six Days Trial. I think this is a great way to honor McQueens legacy while supporting a good cause.

The 2022 Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition has been unveiled, celebrating the iconic actor and motorcycle enthusiast. This limited edition is based on the range-topping Scrambler 1200 XE and comes with exclusive features such as a Competition Green paint job, brushed silver knee pads, and a high-fender kit. It also includes premium accessories like crash bars and a brown saddle. I believe this edition is a must-have for any Steve McQueen fan, combining style and off-road capability.

Triumph has updated the Scrambler 1200 line to meet Euro 5 regulations, including the addition of a secondary air-injection system and tweaks to the high-mount exhaust. Despite a slight weight increase, the 1200cc engine maintains its performance numbers of 89 hp and 81.1 lbs-ft of torque. The Steve McQueen Edition, limited to 1,000 units, stands out with its unique design elements and premium accessories. I think these updates ensure the Scrambler remains a top choice for both on-road and off-road enthusiasts.

The Steve McQueen Edition of the Triumph Scrambler 1200 is inspired by the legendary Triumph TR6 from the 1963 film The Great Escape. This edition features a distinctive Competition Green paint scheme, gold pinstriping, and a laser-etched Steve McQueen signature on the handlebar clamp. Each bike comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Triumphs CEO and Chad McQueen. I believe this edition is a perfect blend of history and modern technology, making it highly desirable.

Triumph has confirmed that the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition will be fully equipped with premium Scrambler accessories, including a high-fender kit, radiator guard, and crash bars. The bike also boasts Öhlins long travel fully adjustable rear suspension and Showa forks, ensuring superior off-road capability. Each of the 1,000 limited edition bikes is individually numbered and comes with a unique certificate of authenticity. I think this attention to detail and exclusivity make this bike a standout in its category.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
