Suzuki Zeus 125 XDU

About
The Suzuki Zeus 125 XDU is a commuter bike that was part of Suzukis strategy to regain market share in India after their partnership with TVS ended. Powered by a 124cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder OHC engine, it produces 8.5 HP at 7500 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. The bike features a 5-speed gearbox with a unique gear shift indicator and comes with self-start and kick-start options. It has a kerb weight of 114 kg, a ground clearance of 155 mm, and a wheelbase of 1240 mm, making it stable and comfortable for riding. The bike also includes features like black alloy wheels, a sporty cowl, and ergonomic seating, which enhance its overall riding experience. Despite its discontinuation, the Suzuki Zeus 125 XDU remains a notable model for its blend of style, mileage, and durability.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Suzuki Zeus 125 XDU, although discontinued since 2015, was a notable attempt by Suzuki to re-establish its presence in the Indian market. From my perspective, this bike had its strengths and weaknesses. On the positive side, it offered a solid build quality, good looks, and an impressive mileage of around 65-72 kmpl, which is a significant advantage for commuters. The 124cc engine, though not powerful with only 8.5 HP at 7500 rpm, provided enough torque for daily riding and was efficient thanks to the XTP (Extra Torque Performance) technology. However, users often complained about poor suspension and handling issues, such as extreme under-steer and lack of stability. Despite these drawbacks, the bikes comfort, ergonomic seating, and features like a 5-speed gearbox and gear shift indicator made it a viable option for those prioritizing mileage and durability.
Price
The Suzuki Zeus 125 XDU, when it was available, was priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around Rs 47,000. Considering the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, it would have been approximately Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000, depending on the state and local regulations. While the pricing was attractive for its segment, the bikes value proposition was more about its fuel efficiency, build quality, and service network rather than raw power or advanced features.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 12:58 AM For users concerned about mileage and running costs, the Suzuki Zeus 125 XDU is a strong contender. It delivers an impressive mileage of around 65-72 kmpl, with the XTP technology ensuring good low-end torque even with a pillion rider. This makes it an excellent choice for daily commuters who need a reliable and fuel-efficient bike. The large 12-liter fuel tank, with a 2.1-liter reserve, further enhances its appeal for long rides and areas with limited fuel stations.

When we bought this bike many people were not agree that we made a correct decision. But Zeus performance make our decision correct. I got 70-75 at highway and 65-68 in city easily. Torque is great and sound is roaring that make a vibrant presence everywhere. One more thing that it is unique. Body finish is great and bike looks new till date. Suzuki use same engine in Slingshot but this bike was batter.

Best Features: Strong engine and comfortable rideing

Pros: Build quality, mileage
