Our take on this /// Verdict
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 most certainly scores in my book in looking for a motorcycle that has both touring capabilities and can cut into some dirt with rugged riding. The trendy graphics, decent power, and comfortable riding experience makes it well worth its price range. The multiple unique color/design variations adds more marketing value to it. It does not provide a few features such as switchable ABS but is still fun to ride. All in all the Scram 411 does live up to expectations and is a great bike that comes in handy on daily commutes as well as occupational hazard type situations.

Royal Enfield is speculated to be developing a 450 Scrambler based on the Himalayan 450, which could feature cast wheels, a lower seat height, and less suspension travel compared to the Himalayan. This bike is expected to be more street-oriented and may compete with the Triumph Scrambler 400X. I think this could be a great addition to their lineup, offering a balance between off-road capability and urban usability.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been praised for its versatility and affordability, making it a great option for new riders. It features a 411cc SOHC air/oil-cooled single engine, a five-speed gearbox, and dual-channel ABS. The bikes street-biased geometry and smaller 19-inch front wheel make it well-suited for urban and backroad riding. I think the Scram 411 is an excellent choice for those looking for a multi-purpose motorcycle without breaking the bank.

The Scram 411 is built on the same Harris Performance–designed chassis as the Himalayan, but with a more compact stance due to its shorter single-piece seat and smaller front wheel. It offers quick steering and good response, although the front brake requires hard squeezes to generate stopping power. The bike is available in seven paint styles and retails for $5,099. I believe the Scram 411s design and features make it a compelling option for riders seeking a well-built, versatile bike.

Royal Enfields Scram 411 has been noted for its frugal fuel economy and go-anywhere capability, making it a practical choice for various riding conditions. The bike features a simple one-piece gauge, Google navigation, and deflectors beside the 4-gallon tank to fend off tree branches during off-road riding. I think the Scram 411s combination of features and performance makes it a fun and reliable ride.
Friday, 12 July 2024 05:03 AM
The Scram 411s engine delivers 24 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 23 foot-pounds of torque at 4,500 RPM, which is sufficient for keeping up with traffic or navigating gravel-strewn fire roads. The bikes suspension travel is significant, with over 7 inches at both ends, making it capable of handling various road conditions. I believe the Scram 411s power and suspension make it a solid choice for both urban and rural riding.

Royal Enfield has emphasized the Scram 411s appeal to newer riders, highlighting its nonintimidating nature and unbeatable price. The bikes design and features are intended to make it accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of riders. I think this approach will help Royal Enfield attract more new riders to the motorcycle community.
Friday, 12 July 2024 01:23 AM
The Scram 411s riding position is more forward-leaning compared to the Himalayan, thanks to its pushed-down and back handlebars. This, along with its regular front fender and deleted windscreen, gives the bike a more urban scrambler style. I believe this design change enhances the bikes streetability and visual appeal.
Friday, 12 July 2024 01:54 PM
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is equipped with dual-channel ABS, which is a significant safety feature, especially for wet-weather riding. The bike also features a stepped saddle and a 180-degree passenger grab rail, making it easy to carry small loads. I think these features add to the bikes practicality and safety.

Recent spy shots suggest that Royal Enfield is working on a Scrambler version of their 650 Twins, which will likely use the same 650cc parallel-twin engine found in the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The bike is expected to have an upside-down fork, LED lighting, and possibly the Tripper pod navigation system. I believe the addition of a scrambler to the 650 family will appeal to a wider range of riders.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |
