Royal Enfield Bobber 838 Review
Overview
Also known as the Concept KX by Royal Enfield, the Bobber 838 when launched will be one of the most exceptional offerings from the brand. Showcased at 2018 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the Bobber 838 gets fascinating instrument panel with every modern feature exhibiting a retro design. The larger engine adds onto the superiority and the performance while the exceptional design is intriguing. The bike shown at the EICMA is essentially based on 1938 Royal Enfield 1140 KX which was powered by 1140cc engine. Coming to the design, the round LED headlamps with LED DRLs looks dapper while the single-seat design gives it an authentic bobber look. The alloy wheels equipped with Maxxis tyres give it an appealing demeanour while the flat & long handlebars and dual exhausts add to its authentic styling.
The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 is powered by 838cc, liquid cooled engine capable of producing a maximum power of 90 PS and 100 Nm of utmost torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It is the first ever production model in India by Royal Enfield that gets a V-Twin engine. The braking duties are handled by twin disc brakes at the front while the rear gets single disc brake. The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 gets Girder Fork with Single Damper at the front and Single Damper with Progressive Link suspension at the rear. The wheelbase of 1530mm is powerful to handle the bike on every corner. One of the most distinguished features of the bobber is the instrument console that also gets connectivity options like Bluetooth, hotspot and GPS.
