Our take on this /// Verdict
The Lambretta V125 is a nostalgic yet modern scooter that promises to bring back the charm of the iconic Lambretta brand to Indian roads. With its sleek design, developed in association with the renowned KISKA design house, this scooter stands out for its stylish appeal and robust features. The V125 Special is equipped with a 124.7cc fuel-injected engine, producing 10.19 PS of power and 9.2 Nm of torque, making it competitive in its segment. The inclusion of disc brakes at both ends, LED lamps, and a semi-monocoque chassis adds to its safety and structural integrity. However, the Indian market is highly competitive, and the success of the Lambretta V125 will depend on factors such as pricing, distribution network, and after-sales service. If executed well, this scooter could be a compelling choice for those seeking a blend of style, performance, and practicality.
Price
The estimated ex-showroom price of the Lambretta V125 in India is around Rs 1 lakh, although this figure is subject to change based on various market and regulatory factors. On-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, could push the total cost to approximately Rs 1.2 to Rs 1.3 lakhs, depending on the state and city. This pricing positions the V125 competitively against other premium scooters like the Vespa LX125. However, the final pricing will be crucial in determining its market acceptance, as Indian consumers are highly price-sensitive. If Lambretta can maintain a competitive price point while ensuring strong after-sales support, it could attract a significant customer base.

The new avatar of Lambretta seems to be good. Dual suspension at the rear is a very thoughtful idea. What is the mileage. A hand grip provision for the pillion rider should have been included. How about a spare tyre. Why not a few more colours.
