And if you want raw power and the edge of your seat excitement, there is no shortage of that in this Super Duke.

Underneath, there’s the powerhouse. This bike doesn’t just go, it bolts with a 1301cc V-twin engine cranking out around 177 horsepower. Each twist of the throttle is miniature of the launch sequence. From the first rev you’ll feel that bike’s intensity. It doesn’t build; it just rolls to life, daring you to choke it further. Slicing through the air, I remember taking this thing through a twisty mountain route. All of it was effortless, more or less feeling as if the bike knew where I wanted to go before I did.

It’s a feeling of control, you get this, it’s really good, it’s almost like you can just sink into that ride. Like the bike is telling you to lean a bit harder, brake a bit later. It's easily accessible and simple: the weather is everything you need, tweak it, monitor it, stay on top of things without a hint of missing a beat. That’s one of those small things that adds up to make the ride feel complete, made and polished.
