Latest Updates
Wednesday, 13 November 2024 02:53 AM The KTM 890 Duke R has been discontinued in Europe, marking the end of an era for this highly acclaimed motorcycle. This move suggests KTM is focusing on newer models and technologies. I believe this decision will pave the way for more advanced and feature-rich bikes from KTM.
Friday, 05 May 2023 04:26 AM The KTM 890 Duke R is known for its dynamic, loadbearing tubular chassis and a cast aluminum subframe, which contribute to its sporty handling and reduced weight. The bikes design, including the die-cast, open-lattice swingarm, is optimized for stiffness and stability. I think the attention to detail in the chassis and suspension makes the 890 Duke R a standout in its class.
Tuesday, 18 October 2022 12:41 AM The 2023 KTM 890 Duke R features significant upgrades, including adjustable WP APEX front forks and a fully adjustable WP APEX rear shock, enhancing both track and street riding comfort. I think these updates make the 890 Duke R a compelling choice for riders seeking a balance between performance and everyday usability.
Tuesday, 18 October 2022 05:36 PM For the 2022 model year, the KTM 890 Duke R saw minimal updates, with the most notable change being the introduction of an Atlantic Blue colorway. Despite the lack of major changes, the bike retained its reputation for agility and high-speed stability. I believe the consistent performance and new color option kept the 890 Duke R appealing to enthusiasts.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 07:53 PM The mileage of the KTM 890 Duke R in India is not its strongest suit, given its high-performance nature. With a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres, you can expect an average fuel efficiency of around 15-20 kml, depending on your riding style and conditions. This is typical for a bike that prioritizes power and agility over fuel economy. However, for those who are willing to trade off a bit of mileage for the thrill of riding one of the most capable middleweight naked bikes on the market, the 890 Duke R is still a compelling choice. Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges.

Best 200cc Bike in India

Currently i bought a Duke 200 BS6 2 weeks ago and its a good decision to buy. I am driving between 55 and 65 and getting a mileage of 40.1 km/l currently which is a good one in this segment. The headlight visibility is good. Initial acceleration is also good. I recommend for Duke 200 and above version to use premium petrol as the compression rate is 11.3. Overall experience, I am totally satisfied with the bike. As on the cons side the ground clearance is really now especially when you are carrying an pillion rider, there is an high chance of hitting the lower part in the bumper.

Best Features: Dual Channel ABS, DRL

Pros: Looks, Acceleration and Mileage

Cons: Ground Clearance

Worst bike when it comes to maintainance

Sagar - | 3 years ago

This review is based on personal experience. KTM Duke 200 is One of the worst bikes when it comes to maintenance. I feel I have spent the same amount on petrol and maintenance. For 15,000km Petrol = 36,000 (bike mileage 30km/LTR) Petrol price - 75 (AVG) Maintenance Service = 3 times x 3500 = 10500 (min) Fork oil seal replacement= 2500 Starter motor stator coil replacement =3500 Chain sprocket replacement= 3500 Oil seal replacement = 1500 Start on button replacement = 1200 Fuel sensor replacement= 1000 Clutch wire replacement = 200 Chain lubrication For every 500kms = 100 I.e for 15,000kms = 3000 Seat cover (because seat started cracking) = 800 Both tires = 7000 Total = 34,700 I can even show bill for all the things I have mentioned above. Bike is not designed for Indian roads. It's just an overpriced low quality bike.

Best Features: Nothing to tell

Pros: Acceleration

Cons: Bike it self

1st of its kind !!

Atiqur Rahman | 7 years ago

Had waited long, but ultimately had launched in India !! By going what's in the paper, it seems like it won't fall short in performance and will be a good investment!! Also not to mention, the waiting period for the Duke 390 is too bit longer as that of Duke 250 & 200,which will be available from 8th of March.

Best Features: TFT info screen, Slipper Clutch, Ride By Wire, LED Headlamps, Adjustable suspension arms !!

Pros: Overhauling design from the previous generation Duke 390. Looks will remain appealing for the coming 4 to 5 years.

Cons: The waiting period of the Duke 390 is more then 1 month after booking too. Price increases in different states, so have to go deep into pockets!!
