Kawasaki Z300 Review

Kawasaki Z300 is the naked version of Ninja 300 and is based on the same rock-solid platform. Being a street fighter, Z300’s level of fit and finish is quite aggressive setting it apart from the crowd. It’s rawness for the city streets and a muscular design does shriek awesome. It competes in the market with the likes of Yamaha MT-03 and Benelli TNT 300 in its segment.
The Kawasaki Z300 shares the high-performance engine with Ninja 300 at its heart. It is powered by a 296 cc, Parallel-twin, liquid cooled, DOHC 8 valve engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 38.5 BHP at 11000 rpm and an utmost torque of 27 Nm at 10000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The upright riding position offers a relaxed ride and the wide handlebars offer active rider control. The sporty instrument console with an analogue tachometer, speedometer, clock, fuel gauge, dual trip meters, odometer and Economical Riding Indicator gives a superior feel.
The street fighter’s high performance has led it to dominate the 300cc class. Coming to the suspension, the duties are handled by 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and Bottom-Link UNI-TRAK with 5-way adjustable preload at the rear. It gets a single 290mm petal disc, dual-piston calliper at the front and a single 220 mm petal disc with twin-piston calliper with ABS at the rear. A rigid diamond frame with fine-tuning offers chassis stability for sports riding. The Multi-reflector headlamp gives it an authentic Kawasaki’s “Z” family looks while the slim tail cowl gives it an overall aggressive stance.
With a kerb weight of 170 kg and a ground clearance of 145mm, the Kawasaki Z300 ensures an excellent riding quality with a stable handling at the corners. The slipper clutch guarantees a smooth acceleration while the flat handlebars give more dynamic control in the city streets. The Kawasaki Z300 will be available in 3 stunning shades- Metallic Spark Black, Candy Flat and Blazed Green.
