The bike has a 5-speed gearbox and comes with a digital instrument console, including a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, odometer, clock, and fuel gauge. The design is enhanced with modern LED lighting, a high front fender, and functional dual-sports tires on 19 front and 17 rear wheels. It also boasts a significant ground clearance of 247 mm and a kerb weight of 120 kg, making it agile and easy to handle on various terrains. The bike is equipped with disc brakes on both wheels and features ABS in its higher variant, ensuring safety and control. Overall, the Honda NXR 160 Bros is a well-rounded motorcycle that combines off-road capability with on-road comfort and practicality.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Honda NXR 160 Bros is a compelling entry in the dual-sports motorcycle segment, designed to excel both on and off the road. With its robust 162.7cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine producing 14.6 HP and 14.41 Nm of torque, it offers a balanced blend of power and torque. The bikes design is both muscular and attractive, with a combination of glossy and matt plastic panels, making it visually appealing. The seating position, although slightly higher at 842 mm, is comfortable and easy to control, even for shorter riders, thanks to its curved and narrowed seat. The ground clearance of 247 mm and the 19 front and 17 rear wheels ensure it can handle various terrains with ease. However, its availability in India is still uncertain, which might be a drawback for potential buyers here.
Recent news and announcements
The Honda NXR 160 BROS features a 162.7cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 14.6 HP and 14.41 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This setup, along with its 247 mm ground clearance and 842 mm seat height, makes it well-suited for both on-road and off-road adventures.
The 2024 Honda NXR 160 BROS is expected to be priced around Rs 90,000 in India, making it a competitive entry in the adventure bike segment. This price point places it close to the Yamaha MT15, making it an attractive option for those looking for a dual-purpose motorcycle. I think this pricing strategy could help Honda gain a significant market share.
The latest updates to the Honda NXR 160 BROS include full LED lighting for the headlamp and a new digital instrument cluster, enhancing both its aesthetics and functionality. These updates are part of Hondas effort to keep the bike modern and appealing to new buyers.
The bike is expected to be available in three color options: Black, White, and Red. This variety should appeal to a wide range of buyers, each with their own preferences. The color options add a personal touch to the overall buying experience.
The Honda NXR 160 BROS has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters and weighs just 120 kg, making it lightweight and fuel-efficient. This combination is ideal for long rides and off-road adventures without the burden of a heavy bike.
Pricing details and changes
The Honda NXR 160 Bros has not been officially launched in India, but if it were to be introduced, the expected price could be around 90,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. This pricing would position it competitively against other entry-level off-road bikes in the market. On-road prices would likely be higher, considering additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could push the price to around 1.1 to 1.2 lakhs. Given its features and performance, this price point seems reasonable, especially for those looking for a versatile and capable dual-sports motorcycle.
Fuel efficiency information
The Honda NXR 160 Bros is expected to deliver a mileage of around 30-35 kmpl, which is quite respectable for a bike in its category. This fuel efficiency, combined with its 12-liter fuel tank, makes it a practical choice for both daily commuting and off-road adventures. For users concerned about mileage and running costs, this bike offers a good balance between performance and economy.
