The 2024 Honda Grom has been released in Japan with a new facelift, featuring a sportier and less toy-like design, along with new color options such as Pearl Horizon White and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. The bike includes a flatter seat and a USB socket for charging devices. The Japanese market price is around ¥390,500, including a 10% consumption tax. I think the new design gives the Grom a more mature look.

Honda has announced that the facelifted Grom, first seen in Thailand, will be released in Japan on March 14, 2024. The bike retains its 123cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine but features updated bodywork and graphics. I think the wait will be worth it for Grom enthusiasts.

Honda has announced the 2024 Grom will be available in several new colors, including Blue Raspberry, Pearl White, and Nitric Orange. The bike retains its 123.9cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine and 5-speed transmission, known for its efficiency and reliability. Additionally, Honda is offering new genuine accessories such as a visor for the dash, knuckle guards, and luggage options. I believe these accessories will make the Grom even more appealing to adventure riders.

The 2024 Honda Grom continues to boast impressive gas mileage, with an estimated 166.5 mpg, making it an economical choice for riders. The bike also features a manual 5-speed transmission and a multiplate wet clutch. Its low operating and maintenance costs, along with Hondas legendary reliability, make it a popular option. I think the fuel efficiency is one of the Groms strongest selling points.

Vehicle Overview | Honda MSX125 (Grom) is a monkey bike that resembles a street bike in terms of design but feels even smaller than the Honda Navi from India. It uses premium components like USD front forks, high mounted motorcycle exhaust and rear disc brake. The tyres are even thicker than an average Indian sport bike. It comes with a 124.9cc, air cooled and fuel injected engine, producing 9.7 BHP at 7000 rpm and 10.9 Nm at 5500 rpm. The best part is its 4-speed manual gearbox, making it sport effective when compared the Indian Honda Navi. It weighs just 101.7 kg with a full fuel tank of 5.5 liters. Honda MSX125 was recently spotted testing in India in Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), and it might launch here within next 2-3 months. |

Discussions and Questions Honda MSX
When will Honda MSX125 be available in India?
18 April 2025 04:15
The Honda MSX125, also known as the Honda Grom, has been spotted testing in India, but its official launch date in the country has not been confirmed. Initially, it was speculated to be launched in early 2018, possibly at the Auto Expo 2018, but there has been no recent update on its launch. As of now, there is no definitive timeline for its availability in India.
Why did Honda not launch Honda MSX 125 in India?
02 January 2023 06:46
Honda may launch the MSX 125 in India at some later stage while the Navi resembles the MSX 125 and can be called as an Indian version to this monkey bike. The engine on the MSX is a 125 cc unit while the Indian Navi uses the 110 cc engine from Honda Activa. The sporty character of Honda MSX 125 differentiates it from the others while the Navi carries the economical bits as it has been actually derived from a scooter for real. The MSX 125 will carry bigger tyres, dual disc brakes and a raised exhaust.
I want to buy Honda MSX125 bike in India, when it will be available and what will be the price and mileage?
02 January 2023 06:34
The MSX-125 from Honda is a mini motorcycle which has very few chances of launch in India. The bike gets 12 inch wheels on a 1010 mm high motorcycle. The seat gets a fair place at 765 mm, resembling the seat heights of our Indian automatic scooters. The bike gets a 124.9 cc engine producing 9.7 BHP and 10.9 NM of torque. The gearbox stays 4-speed and the total weight of the bike is 101.7 kg only. Being small in size, the fuel tank has also been kept 5.5 liters. It is expected with a price tag of INR 75,000.

What is the mileage of Honda MSX125?
02 January 2023 06:25
Honda MSX125 is expected to return a mileage of 50 kmpl. The bike is powered by a 125 cc, air cooled single cylinder motor producing 9.7 BHP @ 7000 rpm and 10.9 NM @ 5500 rpm. The bike comes with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The design seems to be different as the tyres being offered are 12 inch only. 120/70-12 and 130/70-12 are quiet wide for this new kind of machine. It comes with a 220 mm disc for the front and a 190 mm for the rear. Front suspension is USD telescopic forks whereas the rear suspension is mono shock absorber. With 101 kg of total body weight, the bike is quiet light and a seat height of 765 mm makes it further easy to drive. It is expected with a price tag of INR 70,000.
