It featured a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with fuel injection, delivering 47 horsepower and ample torque for both city and off-road use. The bikes ergonomic design included an upright seating posture and well-placed handlebars for better control. I think this made it an excellent choice for both new and seasoned riders.

Discussions and Questions Honda CB500X
Can the CB500X get around for daily ride purposes and highway use?
16 January 2025 07:00
It’s not about the power; it’s about what you do with it. It's more fun to use 100% of this bike’s potential than 50% of a more powerful bike.
What’s the CB500X up against in terms of a main rival?
16 January 2025 07:00
There is a bit of a build quality feel to the Honda over the Kawasaki. In the long run, it’ll probably hold up better.
Is the stock CB500X suspension up to light off-road duty?
16 January 2025 07:00
The stock suspension is more than adequate for the average rider who does the occasional off-road trip. There’s no need to spend extra unless you really are pushing it.
How is the CB500X in two-up riding and long-distance touring?
16 January 2025 07:00
It's all about expectations. If you grew up on a 1200cc adventure bike, then the CB500X will leave you wanting. Coming from smaller bikes, it’s more than up to the task of two-up touring.
Is the Honda CB500X actually an 'adventure' bike?
16 January 2025 07:00
I'd call it an adventure bike for the beginners. Light off-roading is fine, but if you’re going to be serious about adventure riding, you’ll want something with a bit more beef.
