USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Ducati Monster 821 Dark is a formidable naked sportbike that embodies the essence of Ducatis engineering and design. My experience with this bike has been a mix of exhilaration and some practical considerations. The Monster 821 boasts a powerful 821cc L-twin engine, producing 109 horsepower and 89.4 Nm of torque, making it one of the torquiest bikes in its segment. The bikes handling is exceptional, with agile and responsive dynamics that make it a joy to ride, whether in city traffic or on the open highway. However, its not without its quirks the rear brakes can lack bite, and the unique 18060 tire size can be challenging to find replacements for in India. Despite these minor issues, the Monster 821s performance, styling, and overall riding experience make it a compelling choice for those who crave a raw, unfiltered riding experience.
Price
In India, the Ducati Monster 821 Dark is priced around 11.5 to 12 million INR ex-showroom, depending on the region and any customizations. On-road prices can vary significantly due to state-specific taxes and other charges, typically adding another 1.5 to 2 million INR, bringing the total to around 13 to 14 million INR. This places the Monster 821 in the premium segment of motorcycles, competing with other high-end European bikes. While the price is steep, the bikes performance, build quality, and brand heritage justify the cost for serious enthusiasts. However, its crucial to factor in the higher maintenance costs and the potential for higher running expenses due to its powerful engine and specialized components.

The Real Monster

Ducati is a specifically known for creating and manufacturing of sports bikes. Since 1950 they introduced amazing sports bikes with powerful engines. I owned Ducati's Red color monster 795 a year ago. It is an amazing sports bike that everyone wants. It is one the most affordable Ducati on sale today. It has all high-end features. But, there are some drawbacks also like anti-lock braking system is absent there in this bike but you can get it on request. Apart from that Ducati has limited sales and service outlets which is again a problem. It accelerates so quickly, I have to make a conscious effort to stay in tune with the speeds. No, doubt it is really a monster and when, I ride this bike it makes me more and more happier.

Best Features: Efficient Braking System

Pros: Excellent overall dynamics, Good Build Quality, Steel braided brakes, Value For Money

Cons: No Fuel Meter, Slightly Vibrations, Limited Sales & Service Stations
