Our take on this /// Verdict
The Ducati Monster 796 Corse Stripe is a compelling option for those seeking a high-performance naked bike in India. While it is one of the more affordable Ducati models available, it still packs a punch with its 803cc L-Twin engine producing 87 horsepower. The bikes lightweight design, weighing just about 185 kg, makes it highly maneuverable and a joy to ride through city traffic and on open roads. However, the absence of an anti-lock braking system (ABS) is a notable drawback, especially considering modern safety standards. Despite this, the smooth clutch and the bikes overall handling make it a great choice for enthusiasts looking for a raw and exhilarating riding experience.
Price
The Ducati Monster 796 Corse Stripe is priced competitively in the Indian market. As of recent data, the ex-showroom price for this model is around 8.5 lakh to 9 lakh, depending on the region. When you factor in additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, the on-road price can range from 10 lakh to 11 lakh. This pricing positions the Monster 796 Corse Stripe as a more accessible entry point into the Ducati family, offering high-end features and performance at a relatively lower cost compared to other Ducati models.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 01:28 AM The Ducati Monster 796 Corse Stripe has been introduced in the Malaysian market, but theres speculation it might soon be available in India. If it does, Indian riders can expect a mid-range naked bike with a 803cc L-Twin engine producing 87hp and 78Nm of torque. The bike features a new single-sided swingarm and an updated clutch unit. I think this could be a great addition to the Indian market, offering a balance between sporty performance and daily practicality.
Friday, 25 October 2024 01:19 PM One of the key features of the Ducati Monster 796 Corse Stripe is its ergonomic design. The seat height has been raised to 800mm, and the handlebars have also been adjusted to provide better comfort and balance between sporty and practical use. This makes it an appealing option for riders who want both style and comfort. I believe these tweaks will make a significant difference in the riding experience.
Sunday, 15 September 2024 03:33 PM The Monster 796 Corse Stripe is powered by Ducati’s new generation 796 Desmodue engine, which boasts a higher compression ratio of 11:1 compared to the 696 models 10.7:1. This engine change, along with new lightweight crankcases, aims to keep the weight down while enhancing performance. This technical upgrade is a significant step forward for Ducatis mid-range models.
Tuesday, 20 August 2024 08:45 PM Ducati has equipped the Monster 796 Corse Stripe with ABS brakes as standard, enhancing safety features for riders. This is a welcome addition, especially for those who value safety without compromising on performance. I think this move by Ducati shows their commitment to rider safety.
Wednesday, 10 July 2024 11:34 PM The Monster 796 Corse Stripe features a stylish Corse Stripe livery, which adds to its aesthetic appeal. The bikes design merges elements from both the Monster 696 and the Monster 1100, making it a visually appealing option for those who love naked bikes. The design is both sleek and aggressive, perfect for those who want to make a statement on the road.
Wednesday, 26 June 2024 01:23 AM The bike comes with a six-speed manual transmission and an updated APTC multi-plate wet clutch, which includes self-servo action on drive and slipper action on over-run. These features improve the overall riding experience and make the bike more manageable in various conditions. I think these transmission upgrades will be highly appreciated by riders.
Thursday, 30 May 2024 07:09 AM The Monster 796 Corse Stripe has a claimed wet weight of 188kg, which is relatively light for its class. This reduced weight, combined with the new single-sided swingarm, promises better performance and handling. This makes the bike more agile and responsive, which is great for both city riding and occasional track days.
Monday, 15 April 2024 02:46 PM In terms of market pricing, the Monster 796 Corse Stripe in Malaysia starts from RM63,888. If it were to be introduced in India, the pricing would likely be competitive with other mid-range naked bikes in the market. I believe it would be a strong contender if priced correctly.
Wednesday, 20 March 2024 06:35 PM The engine of the Monster 796 Corse Stripe uses electronic fuel injection with 45mm throttle bodies and a stepper motor, along with a lightweight 2-1-2 exhaust system. These features contribute to its efficient performance and reduced emissions. This attention to detail in the engine is what sets Ducati apart from other manufacturers.
Saturday, 10 February 2024 08:53 PM The Monster 796 Corse Stripe is assembled in Thailand as completely knocked-down (CKD) units, which could potentially affect its pricing and availability in the Indian market. However, this assembly process ensures that the bike meets high quality standards while keeping costs manageable. I think this strategy could help Ducati expand its market reach.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 11:59 AM The mileage of the Ducati Monster 796 Corse Stripe is not its strongest suit, which is typical for high-performance bikes. You can expect an average fuel efficiency of around 15-20 kml, depending on riding conditions. This means that while the bike excels in terms of performance, it may not be the most economical choice for daily commuting or long-distance touring. However, for enthusiasts who prioritize the thrill of the ride over fuel efficiency, this bike remains a compelling option.

The Real Monster

Ducati is a specifically known for creating and manufacturing of sports bikes. Since 1950 they introduced amazing sports bikes with powerful engines. I owned Ducati's Red color monster 795 a year ago. It is an amazing sports bike that everyone wants. It is one the most affordable Ducati on sale today. It has all high-end features. But, there are some drawbacks also like anti-lock braking system is absent there in this bike but you can get it on request. Apart from that Ducati has limited sales and service outlets which is again a problem. It accelerates so quickly, I have to make a conscious effort to stay in tune with the speeds. No, doubt it is really a monster and when, I ride this bike it makes me more and more happier.

Best Features: Efficient Braking System

Pros: Excellent overall dynamics, Good Build Quality, Steel braided brakes, Value For Money

Cons: No Fuel Meter, Slightly Vibrations, Limited Sales & Service Stations
