Vehicle Overview BMW G310GS is the entry level adventure tourer from BMW, based on the recently made street machine, G310R. It uses the same 313cc, 1-cylinder engine producing 33.6 BHP and 28 Nm of torque. The motorcycle will be manufactured in India alongside the G310R while carrying a considerably high seat height, bigger tyres and a tough, adjustable windshield. It rivals Kawasaki Versys X-300 and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure. BMW has officially launched the bike in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 3.49 Lakh.

BMW G310GS is an entry level adventure bike, the second in series that won’t make a hole in your pocket. G310GS is officially based on the underpinnings of G310R and has a full potential to handle the roads firmly with its power. The bike is expected to be launched in India at a price range of INR 2.70-3.00 Lakh, and will compete in the market with the likes of Kawasaki Versys X-300 and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure. The bookings for G310GS are now open in India with a token amount of INR 50,000.

G310GS will be available in the market in 3 stunning shades of - Cosmic Black, Racing Red, and Pearl White Metallic. The adventure bike is powered by 313 cc, Water-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, with four valves capable of producing a maximum power of 33.6 BHP @ 9500 rpm and an utmost torque of 28 NM @ 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. With the kerb weight of 169.5 kg, the G310GS is powerful enough to handle the Indian roads rather well.

The suspension duties are handled by 41mm of Upside down fork at the front and Solid die-cast aluminum swingarm, directly hinged monoshock at the rear. Coming to the brakes, it gets 300mm single disc brake at the front with 4-piston fixed caliper and 240 mm single disc brake at the rear with single-piston floating caliper. It gets an an all digital instrument console with ABS indicator and other gear indicators. The switchable 2-channel ABS in G310GS makes it easy to handle the bike in case of emergency braking.
