Our take on this /// Verdict
The Bajaj XCD 135 Kick Start, although discontinued since December 2009, was a notable entry in the Indian motorcycle market during its time. From my perspective, this bike offered a balanced blend of performance, mileage, and stability. The 134.6cc engine, producing 10.2 PS of power and 11.58 Nm of torque, provided decent pickup, especially for single riders. However, it was less impressive with a pillion rider. The longer wheelbase added to its stability, and the braking system was commendable for its segment. While it had its flaws, such as vibrations at higher speeds, it remained a reliable choice for daily commuting. Overall, it was a good option for those seeking a budget-friendly, fuel-efficient bike with adequate performance.
Price
The Bajaj XCD 135 Kick Start, when it was available, had an ex-showroom price in Delhi of around Rs. 38,511. To estimate the on-road price, one would typically add costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, which could have pushed the price up by another Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 7,000. This would have made the on-road price approximately Rs. 43,511 to Rs. 45,511. Given its price point, it was positioned as a value-for-money option in the commuter segment, offering a good balance of features and affordability.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 06:49 PM The Bajaj XCD 135 Kick Start is known for its impressive mileage, with users reporting around 55-65 kmpl within city limits. The mileage is quite competitive in its segment, making it a reliable option for daily commuters who need a bike that can deliver good fuel economy.
