The Apache 160 engine has always been lively and punchy, and this 2022 version is no exception. The throttle response and acceleration are rapid in Sport mode, and we were able to observe a top speed of more than 120 kph displayed on the dash. 
 

TVS has launched a new Racing Edition of the Apache RTR 160 2V, priced at Rs 1,28,720. This edition features a unique Matte Black color scheme with grey graphics and racing red stripes, along with carbon fibre treatment on body panels. It also includes LED headlamp and taillamp, and TVS’ Glide Through Technology (GTT). I think this edition will appeal to those looking for a sporty and exclusive bike.

TVS Motor Company has hiked the price of some of its Apache models including the Apache RTR 160 2V. The motorcycle is offered in two variants- Drum and Disc. The drum variant is now priced at Rs 1.06 lakh while the disc version costs Rs 1.09 lakh; both a premium of Rs 1500 over the previous pricing. However, there are no changes to the mechanicals of the Apache RTR 160 2V. It comes powered by a 159cc, air-cooled motor that churns out 15.3bhp and 13.9Nm.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V has been updated with new features, including a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and race telemetry. The bike also comes with three riding modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain – which alter power and throttle response. I believe these updates make the Apache RTR 160 2V a strong contender in its segment.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V now features a refined engine, producing 15.8 bhp in Sport mode and 13.8 Nm of peak torque. The bike also boasts a new LED headlamp and taillamp, along with sporty graphics and a fatter 120/70 section tyre for improved handling. I think the combination of performance and styling makes this bike a great option for both track and urban riding.

The Apache RTR 160 2V is available in various colors, including Racing Red, Matte Blue, Gloss Black, Pearl White, and T Grey. The bike is priced starting at Rs 1.18 lakh for the rear drum brake version and goes up to Rs 1.25 lakh for the disc brake version with Bluetooth. I believe the pricing is competitive, making it an attractive choice for buyers.
