This Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is a digital sibling of the Dominar 400. Bajaj is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the world. Its Pulsar range of bikes has captured almost the entire market segment in India. This ranges from affordable entry-level bikes to upto 400-cc segment motorcycles. However, its Dominar 400 is not able to post as healthy sales as Bajaj would have liked. Apart from that, its products upto the 250-cc segments are market leaders. We are certain that the two-wheeler giant would want to replicate that success even in the 400-cc segment. A version of the Pulsar could do the trick. Here are the details of this unique digital illustration.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Review

07 Feb, 2023 03:38 PM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is a naked streetfighter motorcycle that will be available in India shortly. It will be built on the same platform as the Dominar 400, but it will be designed in the style of the Pulsar NS series. It will be powered by a four-stroke, single-cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling. The Pulsar NS400 will come with a 6-speed transmission along with an assist and slipper clutch system.

With minor changes, Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will carry forward the design language of the NS series motorcycles. It is expected to have the same muscular and aggressive appearance as its siblings. It will be built on a lightweight beam-type perimeter frame beneath the skin. It will have 43 mm inverted front forks as well as a multi-step adjustable nitrox rear mono-shock absorber. The front wheel of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will have a 320mm disc brake, while the rear wheel will have a 230mm disc brake. It will also have dual-channel anti-lock braking with supermoto mode. This streetfighter will be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and wide radial tubeless tyres.

It will be powered by the same single-cylinder, four-stroke, triple-spark engine as the Dominar 400. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400's liquid-cooled and the fuel-injected engine will be mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. Its DOHC engine will provide linear power all the way to the top of the rev range. The assist and slipper clutch will provide smooth gear shifts and reduce the effect of engine braking. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is expected to produce around 40 HP at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It will have an LED headlight and a digital instrument panel with a gear shift light.

Besides introducing new models, Bajaj is updating its entire lineup in the Indian market. Various new reports are making the rounds on the internet that the brand may soon launch the NS400 in the Indian market. But no official information about this new Dominar-based streetfighter has been released by Bajaj. It is expected to be released in India early this year, alongside the smaller Pulsar RS. In India, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is expected to cost around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Pulsar NS400 is one of the most anticipated bikes among Bajaj enthusiasts in India. It will be based on the Dominar 400 cruiser. We expect it will have a sleek and sporty design like the new-generation Pulsar series models. A powerful single-cylinder engine that will deliver class-leading performance. This streetfighter will include premium features such as a slipper clutch, USD forks, and supermoto ABS. Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is expected to be an excellent alternative to the other premium bikes in this segment.

Motorcycles are not cell phones. They need to have durability. When someone invest more than 1.5 lacs he is expecting a motorcycle which will run smooth for at least 5 yrs without basic maintenance. I spent more than 50k to maintain my RS200 in 3.5 Yrs finally with a heavy heart sold it off. Very very poor built quality of bajaj. I am really disappointed. I loved my bike so much. But for such a poor built quality I had to sell it off.

Please add new features for a digital meter like Gear number indicator, Distance to empty, and Real-time mileage and also dual ABS channel. According to me, these features are most important for getting the best riding experience. Please you must add these features in pulsar 150 Dual disc brakes variant
