MAXABOUT RATING AND OVERVIEW | |
Vehicle Overview | Bajaj Pulsar CS200 is currently under the state of confusion as the bigger product from its lineup, CS400 has been named Dominar 400 by the company. If seen the same way, the CS200 will soon change to Dominar 200 and the motorcycle will carry the same 199.5 cc engine from the 200 Duke. Not just that, it will also get a reduced power output in order to suit the cruiser character of the motorcycle. The currently used engine on Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is good for 24.2 BHP at 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm at 8000 rpm. As of now, there is no news about Dominar 200 anywhere in the Indian automobile market. |

Bajaj Dominar 200 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Bajaj has been one of the most active brands in the motorcycle industry, launching products at a fast pace. One Pulsar gets launched and one is planned for the future. This Pulsar mania has divided the categories of Pulsar's clearly and every rider has plenty of options according to his need. The talk has gone pretty far this time, with the rumours of a cruiser sport motorcycle with 200 cc displacement. Named as the CS 200, the bike is said to be a bit different from the CS 400. It is expected to be launched in India by March-April 2016.
With an all new design language, the new Pulsar CS200 is said to be a cruiser bike and finally, we will get a Pulsar with a lower seat height. The body seems to be lean and very well designed. The first look at the motorcycle defines its nature, it’s all new front headlight looks appealing and its bold front USD shocks adds to its aggressiveness. The totally new alloy wheels would make it a head turner for sure.
Pulsar CS 200 is expected with the same engine as other Pulsars, making it a nice sprinter. The weight seems to be on the lower end, making it a much preferable bike for aggressive riding. The 199.5 cc engine is expected to produce 24.2 BHP and 18.6 NM, with some possible tuning from Bajaj. Triple spark technology would be used on this motorcycle, along with fuel injection and liquid cooling. The 6-speed gearbox will remain the same as other 200 cc Pulsars.
The motorcycle is expected with a 300 mm butterfly disc brake for the front and 230 mm for the rear. The suspension at the back remains the monoshock with piggy back canister whereas the front gets an all new USD suspension, with a bold appeal added to it. The 17 inch tyre set will remain the same as that of Pulsar RS200.
The Pulsar CS200 is expected in a non-ABS and ABS variant, with an expected price tag of INR 1,05,000 for the non-abs model. The shades would most probably be the same as that of Pulsar AS200, with a sticker free approach.

How do I increase my Bajaj Dominar 200 mileage?
17 April 2025 23:45To increase the mileage of your Bajaj Dominar 200, focus on several key areas. Regular maintenance is crucial, including engine tuning, regular oil changes, and ensuring clean air filters to maintain optimal engine performance and reduce fuel consumption. Proper tire pressure is also essential; under-inflated tires increase rolling resistance, so check and adjust tire pressure weekly according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Adopt a smooth and steady riding style by gradual acceleration, avoiding hard braking, and shifting gears at the right RPM. Riding at uniform speeds, particularly within the 40-55 kmph range, can significantly improve mileage. Avoid carrying excess weight, as it increases the engine's workload and fuel consumption. Using high-quality fuel suited to your bike's engine can also enhance mileage. Additionally, turn off the engine if you anticipate being stationary for more than 30 seconds, and avoid parking in direct sunlight to prevent fuel evaporation. Maintaining the bike's original components and keeping the chain well-lubricated can also contribute to better fuel efficiency. By implementing these strategies, you can optimize your Bajaj Dominar 200's mileage, potentially achieving around 35 km/l in city conditions and up to 40 km/l on highways[5>.

When should I change my Bajaj Dominar 200 air filter?
17 April 2025 23:30To determine when to change the air filter of your Bajaj Dominar 200, consider the following factors:
Generally, air filters should be checked and replaced every 4,000 to 6,000 kilometers, but this interval can vary significantly based on your riding conditions. If you frequently ride in dusty or polluted environments, you may need to inspect and replace the air filter more often, potentially every 500 to 1,500 kilometers. Visual cues such as a noticeably darker or dirtier filter, reduced acceleration, poor fuel efficiency, or unusual engine noises also indicate the need for a replacement. For urban riders, it is advisable to check the air filter every six months and replace it if necessary. Additionally, consult your motorcycle’s owner manual for specific manufacturer recommendations, as some models may have air filter replacement indicators or unique maintenance schedules.

Is the Dominar 200 a good bike for new riders?
29 January 2025 07:59If only I had started on a Dominar 200. The first bike I had was a 150cc and I outgrew it in months. The Dominar would have been perfect, easy to learn on but with enough performance to keep things interesting.
-
How can the Dominar 200 be made to be as personal as one wants it to be?
29 January 2025 07:59I have done some minor mods such as a tail tidy and LED auxiliary lights. That's enough to make the bike feel more 'mine', without getting carried away. Don't worry about performance mods, but be careful, they can void your warranty.
-
Is Bajaj Dominar 200 all the hype it is worth?
29 January 2025 07:59There's a bit of hype, I think. Yes, the bike is a decent one, but it is not the revolution that Bajaj makes it out to be. At high speeds, it's annoyingly noisy and not very fuel efficient. If you don’t like the feel of the bike, you might be better off with a Yamaha FZ25 or even a Royal Enfield Classic 350.
-
How is the Dominar 200 off the road?
29 January 2025 07:59I’ve ridden the Dominar 200 off road as well as the Hero Xpulse 200, and I can assure you the Dominar is not built for it. Rough terrain, standing up, it's too heavy and the ergonomics are all wrong. If you're looking for a bike to tour and off road, look elsewhere.
-
Can the Dominar 200 hold its own against bigger bikes on long trips?
29 January 2025 07:59The Dominar 200 is a bike that I think is perfect for Indian touring conditions. It's fast enough for highways, nimble enough for city streets and efficient enough for long distances. It’s not as fast as a 400cc+ bike but do you really need to go that fast on our roads?
-
Does Bajaj Dominar 200 have Bluetooth?
05 January 2023 03:56The Bajaj Dominar 200 is equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled audio system, allowing riders to connect to their music or phone without needing wires.

Which oil is best for Bajaj Dominar 200?
05 January 2023 03:54The best oil for the Bajaj Dominar 200 is 10W30 mineral oil as it helps to reduce engine friction and heat. This type of oil also helps to maintain the engine's performance, reduce wear and tear, and extend its life.
