Atumobiles Atum Version 1.0 has seen a price adjustment, now starting at Rs. 61,500 in India. This retro-style electric bike offers a range of 100 km on a single charge and can be fully charged in 3-4 hours. It features a 250W hub motor and a top speed of 25 km/h, making it license-free. I think this pricing makes it an attractive option for those looking for an eco-friendly and cost-effective commute.

Atumobile has highlighted the cost-effectiveness of the Atum Version 1.0, with operating costs as low as Rs. 7-10 per day for 100 kilometers. This is significantly cheaper than traditional ICE bikes, which can cost around Rs. 80-100 per day for the same distance. The bike also comes with a 2-year battery warranty and a lightweight portable battery pack. I believe this makes it a compelling choice for daily commuters in India.

The Atum Version 1.0 is designed with practicality in mind, featuring a 14-litre lockable storage compartment where the fuel tank would typically be. It also includes a digital instrument cluster, LED lighting, and mechanical disc brakes at both ends. The bikes design has been tested under various conditions to ensure durability. I think the storage compartment is a great addition for urban riders.

Atumobile, based in Hyderabad, has a Greenfield manufacturing facility in Telangana with an annual production capacity of 15,000 units, which can be extended to 25,000 units if demand increases. The Atum Version 1.0 is part of their effort to redefine e-mobility in India with its sturdy build and vintage design. I believe this production capacity will help meet the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country.

Atumobile launched the Atum Version 1.0 in September 2020 with a base price of Rs. 50,000, aiming to cater to the needs of the upwardly mobile Indian consumer. The bike features a retro, vintage design and is optimized for space, comfort, and high performance. It is approved by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) as a low-speed bike, requiring no license or registration. I think this launch marked a significant step in Indias transition to electric mobility.
