User Reviews for Aprilia SXR
Aprilia SXR 160
It's been 1 year since I bought my Black beauty, Aprilia SXR 160 and the experience cannot define in words. This was always my first choice since it hits on Indian roads however, my wish got fulfilled last year when my lovely Wife had gifted that to me. It Certainly a head turner on roads and if talk about presence, nothing can beat it. I am in love with it as it has never disappointed me. Its pick up is nonpareil though its sound is not that loud and roaring but when we ride it, it can be ignored because of its riding experience. Balance is perfect, mileage is atleast 40 (on high octane fuels), killer and muscular looks, more than enough space. What else we expect from a two-wheeler/scooter/scooty?
Best Features: Killer and muscular looks, Enough Space
Pros: Good Mileage
The ride quality is amazing
The Aprilia SXR 160 is an amazing ride. I've been using it for over two months now and I can honestly say that it's a great buy. I'm 5.7 and I feel comfortable while riding it. I don't get tired after long rides on it and the ride quality is amazing.
I've taken it on a few trips and it has been an absolute delight. On average, it gives me 43.8 km/l when I'm alone and 40.3 km/l when I'm with a pillion. Before my first service, it used to give me 35-36 km/l.
It's a head-turner and people always notice it when I'm riding it.
The only negatives I have with this scooter is that after 1500 kms, there was some noise at the tail lamp and a loose screw, but it was sorted out when I took it to the service centre. The fuel indicator sensor also gives wrong readings most of the time. The side stand could also have been angled better.
I wish Aprilia SXR 160 would introduce more accessories for this maxi-scooter.
Overall, I'm in love with the Aprilia SXR 160.
Shock absorbers and brakes on the SXR 160 are a bit of a problem
The shock absorbers and brakes on the SXR 160 are a bit of a problem, as they can get stuck and take time to release after a bump in the road. However, if you're riding on a smooth road, the SXR 160 is a far better ride than other scooters in its class. The seat isn't great for long rides, either – those who ride it more than 60 km a day may not find it comfortable. For short rides on smooth roads, the SXR 160 is a great ride and a lot of fun. Overall, it's a great scooter for short journeys.

Fuel pump and fuel injector are a major problem
The fuel pump and fuel injector are a major problem when it comes to the SXR 160, as it can cause a lot of hassle and headaches. The trouble is that proper mechanics aren't always available to diagnose and repair the issue. Even when mechanics are available, they sometimes can't find out what the exact problem is, causing the same issues to arise over and over again. The shocker also does not work properly in certain conditions, which is an additional issue to worry about. Finally, the GPS navigation system is missing, which can be a major hindrance for many riders.
Aprilia SXR 160 Discussion
The Aprilia SXR 160 is an expensive scooter that fails to deliver on its promises. Maintenance costs are high, and it has a tendency to overheat quickly. Parts are also expensive, making it a costly scooter to own. In comparison to other scooters, the Aprilia SXR 160 lacks in performance and mileage. It is not worth the price tag, and many riders would be better off with a more reliable scooter such as the Honda Activa. Overall, the Aprilia SXR 160 is a disappointing scooter that fails to deliver on its promise.
The SXR 160 looks quite similar to the R15V3 at first glance, but it looks a bit better. The mileage is not as good as some of its competitors, which can be a downside. The ride is quite stiff, which isn't ideal for city riding. The looks can definitely be improved upon, but it's still a great maxi scooter that Suzuki has developed. The quality could still be improved, so hopefully they will make the necessary changes in the future.
I have been driving this vehicle for the past week and I must say that it is really amazing. The red color of the car looks great and the driving experience is very smooth. The mileage that I get from the vehicle is very good, I get an average of 45 kmpl on highways and 38 kmpl within the city. The boot space is also quite decent and there is plenty of legroom for someone who is 5'9". The display of the vehicle is also very modern, it shows the time, temperature, rpm and more. There are also features like Bluetooth connectivity, text and call notifications that I'm sure will be updated in the future. All in all, I'm very happy with the Aprilia SXR 160 and would definitely recommend it.
Owning this Beast since April. Overall riding experience has been top-notch. You never feel like riding a moped. The cruising, cornering, and braking are top class. I have completed 1500+ km. The longest trip I made, no back pain, super comfortable seat, gave me a mileage of 45.3 km per charge in city limits. It still gives 42 which is worth it. Amazing scooter.
I have owned this vehicle for a year now, and I can confidently say that I have felt very disappointed with the performance and mileage. Although the company claims that this scooter will give you 40+ kmpl in the city, I have only been able to get a range of 30-35kmpl. Not only that, but I have also found it difficult to reach the maximum speed of 110kmph that the company promises. After 6 months of using this scooter, I was only able to reach a maximum speed of 99kmph. This really has been a huge disappointment and I would not recommend this scooter to anyone.
The SXR 160 is a disappointment when it comes to fuel efficiency. The average of 18-20 km/l is far from impressive, and the service costs are too high. This scooter has many drawbacks, including a small storage capacity and a sub-par front safe. In the rain, anything kept in the locker will get wet, making it quite a hassle. Overall, this bike is a huge mistake and no one should buy it.

The Aprilia SXR 160 is a great scooter for enthusiasts. It comes packed with a lot of first-in-segment features, making it a reliable choice for those who want to go on short trips or weekend getaways. It has a bike-like design at the front, an all-digital meter, and Bluetooth connectivity. The company claims it has a mileage of 35kmpl and a top speed of 95kmph, which is a bit low for a 160cc bike. However, you can easily cruise at 75-85kmph for a long time. The storage space is 21litres and the fuel tank is 7 litres. All in all, this scooter is perfect for those who are die-hard aprilia fans or those who need a performance-oriented scooter for short trips.
The pros of SXR 160 are undeniable. Its long-distance cruising capabilities, combined with its powerful engine, make it a great choice for those who enjoy taking long trips. It is also equipped with a comfortable seat and handlebar that allows for a smooth ride. Additionally, its fuel efficiency is surprisingly good for a bike of its size.
The cons, however, are a bit more noticeable. The handle jerks can be uncomfortable and the front shockers can be hard to adjust. Additionally, because of its size and design, it can be a bit uncomfortable to use as a daily commuter due to the lower back pain it can cause.
Overall, the SXR 160 is a great choice for those who enjoy taking long trips and occasional highway rides. It is a reliable bike that provides a smooth and comfortable ride, with great fuel efficiency.
