Quick Review by Maxabout Team

TVS Motor company is a leading manufacturer of two wheelers in India. The Apache RTR 180 serves as the most powerful bike from TVS company. Now, the company has launched a new variant of RTR 180, known as Apache RTR 180 Matte Black Edition. Let us check out this commuter in detail.

Design and Style

The Apache RTR 180 Matte Black Edition is the carbon copy of RTR 180, the only change is that it is available in matte black paint finish. The lights are fitted with day time running LED's for better illumination and clear lens indicators for strong signals. The bike looks sporty and aggressive from the front that makes it an eye catcher. The blackened out alloy wheels enhances the beauty of this commuter. The bigger, sturdy fuel tank bearing the RTR symbol printed in bold letters gives it a cool and aerodynamic graphics. The gold finished rear shockers and front fork compliments the RTR 180 style.

Dimensions and Fuel Tank Capacity

The bike comes with a length of 2085 mm, width of 730 mm and a height of 1100 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 139 Kg. It has a fuel tank capacity of 16-litres which makes it suitable for long runs.

Instrument Panel

The LCD type instrument console comes with a digital speedometer, fuel gauge, trip-meter/ clock and odometer. It also features an analogue tachometer along with illuminating needle. The panel also bears indicators for low fuel and low oil. The blue color is used in LCD for better illumination at night.

The Apache RTR 180 Matte Black Edition is powered by a 177.4cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, two valve engine that kicks out a peak power of 17.03 bhp at 8500 rpm and a peak power of 15.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. This air-cooled engine is mated to a 5 speed transmission and a multi plate wet type clutch system. It comes with the option of electric and kick start as well.
